Based on the Shonen Jump manga of the same name, the Bleach series launched in 2004 and ran until 2012. However, in 2022, Bleach was resurrected, with Thousand-Year Blood War acting as a sequel to the original series. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War part 3 set the stage for a ferocious battle between the Soul Reapers and Quincies. However, The Calamity will bring that fight to an end, covering volumes 55-74 of the manga’s final arc.
The latter half of the official synopsis reads, “The Thirteen Court Guard Squads join forces with the surviving Quincies and head for the Royal Palace, but it’s fallen under the control of the Wandenreich, who have transformed it into the Wahr Welt. The Royal Guard wait for them within the castle, ominously towering against the sky. Beyond the chaos of calamity, what lies in wait—despair or hope?”
Although the full season does not yet have a US streaming date, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity is expected to land on Disney Plus and Hulu this July, where all current parts of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War are available to stream now.
