It can be a little slow to find your footing in an AFK-style tower defense title, but with these Idle Defense codes, you’ll get off to a flying start. Promising enough free upgrade materials to get you out of Noob-rolling territory and firmly into a position to best Golden Farmers before they’re knocking at your gates, it doesn’t take many codes to upgrade your arsenal. Though it’s missing the tower part of the name, Idle Defense is still just that – an idle tower defense title. Take a plot, place your towers, and watch them smack NPCs into the dirt.…
Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred is so big that Blizzard decided the new season doesn't need its own theme, but it will include "major system upgrades"
Blizzard has announced the details of Diablo 4’s new season, the Season of Reckoning, and it’s a little light compared to previous seasons. Most notably, it won’t feature its own seasonal questline, theme, or story like previous seasons, presumably to let the new Lord of Hatred expansion really breathe. While you won’t be able to hop over to the seasonal realm for a new “season-specific story, theme, or gameplay elements” this time around, Blizzard says in a new blog that the Season of Reckoning will introduce “major system upgrades such as sweeping Skill Tree updates and class changes, increased level cap,…
Wondering what the Overwatch system requirements are? Whether you’ve inherited someone’s old computer or you’re using a handheld gaming PC to enjoy the portable experience, it’s always worth looking at the Overwatch system requirements before you boot up, helping you identify any potential problems ahead of time. Overwatch has been through several drastic changes since it was released almost a decade ago, and while it has received engine upgrades to make the multiplayer game prettier, the system requirements haven’t changed much. For a closer look at how to get better performance in-game, you can check out our best Overwatch settings…
Netflix has unveiled the first look at Scooby-Doo: Origins, which marks the first live-action Scooby-Doo project since 2004’s Monsters Unleashed. The series takes us all the way back to the teenage days of Mystery Inc. (though the modern animated adaptations tend to just call them the ‘Scooby Gang’) when Scoob was just a puppy. Per Deadline, childhood friends Shaggy (Tanner Hagen) and Daphne (Mckenna Grace) get “embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely, lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder.” And this is extremely exciting for fans of The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo…
Don't miss The Third Shift, a Game Boy horror museum that cleverly entangles Resident Evil-style CCTV perspectives with point-and-click investigation
The most horrifying thing that ever happened to me while playing Game Boy was a school ‘friend’ flicking the power switch while getting off the train, just as I’d finally beaten that one maddeningly obscure block puzzle in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. He’s lucky he’s not buried somewhere under the railway lines between Shipley and Baildon. There were Game Boy horror games, but they were mostly crammed-down approximations of Resident Evil and the like, and I found them about as spooky as a frowning Potato Head. The Third Shift is out to address this lapse, and so…
FF14 Evercold will "unite the stars" in January – here's everything Yoshi-P said in his massive Fanfest keynote
FF14 Evercold is the name, and it’s time to “unite the stars into one.” In his opening Final Fantasy 14 Fanfest keynote, game director Naoki Yoshida gave us our first look at the future of the critically acclaimed MMORPG. That includes a full rundown of where the Scions of the Seventh Dawn are going next, along with a bunch of new features and overhauls for core systems. I’m coming to you live from the show floor with a complete Fanfest keynote summary of everything he had to say. We’ve been eagerly awaiting word on what the future looks like for…
The next Final Fantasy 14 expansion is called Evercold, with a release date from Square Enix for the MMO’s upcoming chapter set for January 2027.Final Fantasy 14 director – and legend, if I do say so myself – Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida has unveiled 8.0, the exciting next era of the MMO to follow Dawntrail and its own series of subsequent patches, at Fan Fest 2026 during his hotly anticipated keynote… A keynote that, according to Yoshi-P, is “probably the longest one we’ve ever done before.”The new story – one that apparently marks the beginning of “The Godless Realms Saga” –…
One of the first times I remember seeing an optical analog gaming keyboard hit the mainsteam was the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog launch in 2021 – what feels like naffing ages ago now. Since then, we’ve seen keyboards gain more controller-like tech, like rapid trigger inputs and Hall Effect switches, but optical analog boards are where it all started, and the Huntsman v2 Analog remains a fine option today – especially when it’s going cheap. When this keyboard was new, it retailed for $250, although with this current discount, a brand-new one (with its 1-year Razer warranty) is down to…
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 celebrates first anniversary with new cosmetics, and it's shipped over eight million copies
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is already a year old – where has the time gone? Though the news cycle has only gotten more bizarre and doom-filled, Sandfall Interactive’s multi-award-winning RPG has certainly helped keep my sanity in check. It’s a ceremonious occasion, not only because Gustave and Co. have completed a full trip around the sun, but also because Expedition 33 has hit a huge sales milestone. To mark the date, Sandfall’s put out “a fun little update” that brings some slick new hairstyles to the game’s leading cast. Speaking on the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 anniversary, Sandfall says “this…
If you like Battlefield at its most chaotic, I promise you'll love digging tunnels and flying choppers in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam
A helicopter chugs overhead, and I throw myself into the jungle’s overgrowth. We don’t have choppers. I’ve barely hit the ground when the retching whirr of its miniguns drowns out all other sound, decimating anyone caught in the open. “Americans hate this one simple trick,” says my squadmate in proximity chat, getting to his feet and spraying the passing helicopter with assault rifle fire. I run, not waiting to see if it does anything, and certainly not wanting to be there if it doesn’t.Whether you play as an American or North Vietnamese soldier, multiplayer FPS Hell Let Loose: Vietnam isn’t…
