Wondering how to get gunpowder in Windrose? Once you’ve unlocked guns and taken down a few pesky enemies from a safe distance, you can get used to a pirate’s life of not having to constantly block and parry. However, gunpowder is hard to come by and even harder to craft.
Not only do you need to find gunpowder, but you also need to craft bullets (though you can use pearls found along the beach). The best way to get gunpowder in Windrose quickly is by looting islands, uncovering points of interest, and finding chests. However, loot is randomized, so you won’t always find gunpowder in a set location. Fortunately, we’re here to help make this process a lot easier.

How to find Windrose gunpowder
There’s an early game quest that tasks you with gathering a crew for your boat. The crew are captured in Blackbeard Camps, and on successfully fighting and defeating the pirates at each camp, you can help yourself to their chests, usually containing plenty of gunpowder.
Blackbeard Camps are dotted around different islands close to the starter island, so once you have a boat, it’s time to set sail. It’s also worth taking on a few ship battles once you’ve got your cannons up and running, as well as keeping an eye out for random loot in the sea when sailing.
If you want to craft gunpowder, you need ash and sulfur. Unfortunately, this isn’t available until you’ve unlocked the Foothills, the next area after defeating Coastal Jungle. You’ll need access to iron to mine sulfur, and you’ll need to build a Millstone for crafting gunpowder.
Now you know how to craft Windrose gunpowder and where to find it, here’s how to increase your backpack size and how to increase stamina to give you the edge in fights.
