Official Supergirl art includes an obscure Star Wars alien, and we're not quite sure how it got there
Well, this is unfortunate. An official piece of Supergirl artwork seemingly features an unlikely – and accidental – Star Wars crossover. The piece from Bilquis Evely, which you can see below, is a beautifully rendered composition of the cast of DC’s Supergirl, closely matching the artist’s work on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic.New Supergirl artwork by Bilquis Evely for the movie pic.twitter.com/HObIOqhUAoJune 2, 2026Okay I’m seriously quite confused what is Lexo Sooger, an alien from Canto Bight, doing on this official Supergirl poster??? pic.twitter.com/XdzDXGyXOBJune 3, 2026However, an alien in the background bears a striking resemblance to something from a galaxy…
Star Wars Zero Company release date leaks ahead of Summer Game Fest, and its XCOM-ish star warring isn't too far, far away
The release date for Bit Reactor and Respawn’s XCOM-coded strategy game Star Wars Zero Company has leaked ahead of the Summer Geoffs. Those in the mood to order a squad around in the midst of the Clone Wars before the summer’s out are in luck, as Zero Company’s only a couple of months away.
Supergiant Games has just dropped a new Hades 2 update, and while it’s largely a long list of bug fixes and interaction tweaks, you should feel a little stronger across the game as a result. In particular, adjustments to its recently introduced Dream Dives mode and some tweaks for specific, unintended threats in the roguelike’s hardest boss battle should give you slightly more of a chance in your final showdowns. Alongside those are a wide range of solutions to problems that could be caused by specific item, boon, and encounter combos. The new Hades 2 patch notes come in at…
Nintendo is releasing a revised Switch 2 (and possibly controllers) with a replaceable battery in Europe
Nintendo has announced that it will be introducing a revised version of Switch 2 hardware in Europe which contains a removable battery. In 2023 the European Union passed a new regulation called the EU Batteries Legislation, which requires consumer products with built-in batteries to make these batteries easily removeable and replaceable starting from 2027.This legislation will come into force on February 18, 2027, and Nintendo has now announced its intention to comply with it by releasing revised Switch 2 hardware at some stage in the future. While the company doesn’t specifically name the Switch 2, it refers to “current products with model…
"The timing is impossible to ignore": Stop Killing Games says Ubisoft attended "invitation-only" meeting with EU Commission ahead of response to campaign sparked by The Crew shutdown, but it "was not invited"
Stop Killing Games, the movement that hopes to see a future in which developers can’t just take games offline and no longer allow those who have purchased them to play ever again, is back with a new update on its European Citizens’ Initiative. In case you’re out of the loop, Stop Killing Games first took off in the public eye back in 2024 when Ubisoft decided to take The Crew offline… effectively making it a dead digital title for those who “owned” it. The movement aims to make it so that companies can’t just shut their games down as Ubisoft did,…
007 First Light sequels will be helmed "by MGM and, theoretically, by Amazon Game Studios", as the corp look to be taking more direct control over his Bondliness
007 First Light, James Bond’s freshly released spying sojourn to various exotic and dangerous locales, is a thoroughly enjoyable action romp. Naturally, the fact that was my verdict when reviewing it means I’m keen to see developers IO Interactive get a crack at doing a sequel, possibly after returning to their bread and butter with Hitman for a bit. However, whether they will or not looks to have been left a bit up in the air for now, with an Amazon Game Studios exec having confirmed that IO won’t be self-publishing any Bond follow-ups.
Future 007 games will be ‘theoretically’ published by Amazon Game Studios, not IO Interactive
Any future video games featuring James Bond will not be published by IO Interactive, an Amazon gaming executive has stated.IO Interactive developed and self-published 007 First Light last month, after initially announcing the game as Project 007 back in November 2020.Six months after this announcement, Amazon acquired MGM, including its catalogue of more than 4,000 movies and 17,000 TV shows (including the existing Bond movies). Then, in February 2025, Amazon MGM Studios announced that it had acquired “creative control” of the Bond franchise after striking a deal with IP owners Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson. Some have therefore questioned whether IO…
PUBG creator Brendan Greene halts development on "realistic Minecraft" survival game, plans to make it free and is looking into refunds
PUBG creator Brendan Greene – AKA PlayerUnknown – has announced that development is being “halted” on his early-access survival game, Prologue: Go Wayback, amid restructuring at his studio, PlayerUnknown Productions.Prologue: Go Wayback was released into early access last November on Steam. Greene once threw out the phrase “realistic Minecraft” as one way to describe it – players explore procedurally generated landscapes with no guides or markers to guide them, not to mention elements like hunger, thirst, and harsh temperatures to battle against as they make their way to their goal, the Weather Tower. As per its Steam page, it’s “the…
Thanks to GTA 6, Ubisoft's new Rayman is once again launching in "nearly the same month" as a new GTA and in the same year as Assassin's Creed: Black Flag
Rayman Legends Retold devs say it’s a mere coincidence that 13 years later, Rayman Legends Retold is launching around the same time as a new GTA and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. It’s 2013, Rayman Legends was released a few weeks before the new GTA game, and now it’s 2026, and Rayman Legends Retold is about to release a few weeks before the new GTA game. But that’s not all for Ubisoft’s 2013 lineup, as – despite being one of the AAA companies that typically doesn’t remake games all that much – the developer is also remaking Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. But…
Marvel's Wolverine lets you turn off the extreme blood and gore proudly shown at PlayStation's State of Play: "We didn't want to go over the top"
Marvel’s Wolverine developers say violence is an integral part of the game, except you will be able to turn it off anyway if you fancy.Speaking with IGN, game director Mike Daly explains: “From the inception of the project, we knew that the number one most important thing was to bring the Wolverine fantasy to life. Not just that, but make it the ultimate Wolverine fantasy.” He adds, “it was clear that violence was a key part of that.” Because yes, while Insomniac’s take on Spider-Man does have a bit of blood here and there, the footage we’ve seen of Wolverine…
