The Destiny 2 For The Bird Triumph that’s part of the Monument of Triumph update is an annoying one to complete, both because it’s easy to miss the Deepsight quest you need from Hawthorne and because it requires you to complete an entire Raid. The rewards also don’t seem especially spectacular at first, but they include the previously time-limited Chatterwhite shader that was also in Destiny 1. Below I’ve explained everything you need to complete For The Bird in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 For The Bird Triumph walkthrough
The ‘For The Bird’ Triumph in Destiny 2 requires you to complete a weekly Deepsight quest from Hawthorne. Start by speaking to her in the Tower Bazaar, then collect the ‘Fated Deepsight’ quest that requires you to complete all encounters in the Vault of Glass Raid. You may need to go to the next page of her vendor inventory to see this quest!
Hawthorne also has Deepsight weekly quests for other Raids, but since Vault of Glass is free for all players it’s the most convenient one to complete (Last Wish and Garden of Salvation won’t be available to you unless you have both the Forsaken Pack and Shadowkeep Pack respectively), and it’s arguably the easiest of the bunch too.
After that, it’s just a matter of completing all five encounters in Vault of Glass, as the quest says: Activate the confluxes to get inside the Vault; solve the Oracle sequence puzzle; defeat the Templar; reach the Glass Throne and defeat the Gatekeepers; then defeat Atheon to complete the Raid.
This will automatically complete the Fated Deepsight quest and remove it from your quest log, with your reward being a free Deepsight weapon (one with a red border around its icon) that you can use to gain progress for its weapon crafting pattern. Completing the quest also means you can claim the For The Bird Triumph to get 15 Legendary Marks and unlock the Chatterwhite shader (the one you could get from Vault of Glass back in Destiny 1) for purchase at the Tenet of Death in the Tower Courtyard. Unfortunately, Chatterwhite costs 25 Legendary Marks, so you’ll need an extra 10, which you can get easily by finding the Destiny 2 Archie location and giving him a pat for the ‘Can You Pet the Dog?’ Triumph.
