Choosing the best Heroes Olden Era skills for your Hero might seem tricky at first, but once you know how game changing it is to reach elite class and how to get there, picking a skillset suddenly seems like a breeze.
Here, I’ll talk you through what Olden Era elite class is and how to figure out the best skills to pick to unlock it, no matter which Faction or Hero you choose. While the game doesn’t explain it all too well, it’s actually incredibly easy once you know.
Best Heroes Olden Era skills

There are a few standout Heroes Olden Era skills that stand out above the rest, but the best skills you can choose for your Hero are those which lead to one of their elite classes. However, reaching an elite class only requires five skills, and I’ll get onto what they are shortly. Since you have eight Skill slots, though, here are some of the best considerations for those final three spots:
It might seem a little basic, but the above Skills are among the most valuable given their application in battle. Of them, I’d always prioritize Morale, as a greater Morale offers a greater chance to attack twice, which can be incredibly valuable when you’ve got large stacks of units. What’s more, when you start applying the skills for your elite class, you’ll find that those generally are the more complex skills, so a couple of these more basic ones are always great to have in the remaining skills slots.

How to reach Heroes Olden Era elite class

Each hero has two elite class paths to choose from, and these can be seen by double-clicking on your hero’s icon, then hovering over their class icon, indicated in the image above.
To achieve either of these classes, you must learn and max out each of the five required skills associated with that class. There is no way to tell from this window which skills they are, but there is another way to know which skills you should choose.

Once you’ve decided on which elite class path you want to follow, you should then look out for that class’s icon whenever choosing skills. I’ve highlighted this in the image above. Here, you can see Motley’s two elite class choices are Amelchia’s Heir and Great Merchant. The icon for the former can be seen against the Basic Summon Avatar skill in the list below, while the icon for the latter is shown against the Basic Arcane Magic Skill.
This means that Summon Avatar is one of the required skills for the Amelchia’s Heir elite class path, and so, if that was the path I wanted to follow, I should choose the Basic Summon Avatar skill.
No matter what Hero or which of the Olden Era Factions you choose, this is a foolproof way of selecting the best skills every time. As I mentioned earlier on, there are still three skill slots left over, and while your hero may have one or two as standard, you still have some room to play with.
Meanwhile, some of these skills require magic, so you’ll want to find out how to increase you max Heroes Olden Era mana, and how to restore it.
