The Razer NiKo Collection just dropped, and it has to be one of the most desirable sets of gaming peripherals I’ve ever seen. Not only is it a great-looking set, co-designed by pro CS2 player Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač, but it’s also some of the most capable gaming gear you can buy. Razer has pulled out all the stops on the hardware front for this collection. Grab the full selection, and you’ll be equipping yourself with what I consider the best gaming headset and one of the best gaming mouse options you can buy right now. The keyboard and mouse mat…

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 5 is now one of the top-rated Game of Thrones episodes on IMDb.The episode, titled ‘In the Name of the Mother’, initially debuted to a perfect 10 on the site, but now sits at a still very admirable 9.8.After a relatively lighthearted start to the season, things took a turn this week when the Trial of the Seven kicked off. Hedge knight Dunk was sentenced to trial by combat after an unfortunate double whammy of Targaryen offences (assaulting Prince Aerion and supposedly kidnapping his squire Egg, who he didn’t realize was actually the…

Larian just can’t seem to leave Baldur’s Gate 3 in the past, can it? While the behemothic RPG shot the studio to stardom in 2023, Larian constantly tinkered with it for years afterwards – for better and for worse. But, nearly a year on from Patch 8, which was purported to be the ‘final’ update for the game, Larian is back for more, and has spent some time fixing the most egregious bugs that remain in the fantasy game. Now it can really focus on Divinity, honest. “Bet you thought you’d seen the last of these,” crows Larian’s social media…

Fallout 3 always has been and forever will be drowning in the color green – a visual hue that game director Todd Howard was very insistent on getting right – but co-creator of the series, Tim Cain, was none the wiser before the game came out because he’s colorblind.Bethesda has previously spoken at length about Fallout 3’s “great green debate,” and how if art lead Istvan Pely tweaked it at all in the middle of development, Howard would be “like, ‘You changed the green.'” Producer Craig Lafferty previously commented that he “lost count” of “the amount of times we redid…

An ARPG “unlike any other,” spearheaded by a handful of former Diablo 1 and 2 developers? That’s a prospect that I’m sure will make loot goblins everywhere sit up and take note. Well, that’s what the team behind Darkhaven is setting out to achieve. Shaking up the action RPG space with a procedurally generated world featuring an unprecedented amount of environmental destruction and evolution for the genre, hopes are understandably quite high. Despite only being revealed at the end of January, a new “pre-alpha” demo for Darkhaven has just hit Steam, so you can already go and see for yourself…

Chief director of Pokopia at Koei Tecmo, Takuto Edagawa, says that his team was “very focused” on writing dialogue for each of the game’s individual Pokemon, with the game’s producer at The Pokemon Company, Kanako Murata, calling the large amount of conversation between Pocket Monsters “top class”.In an interview with Famitsu that’s been translated by GamesRadar+, Edagawa, Murata and the game’s director at Game Freak, Shigeru Ogawa, discuss the amount of dialogue between Pokemon that will be featured in Pokopia, and how it showcases each species “unique personality.”While Pokemon show their charms through their animations in most series games, there…

In most media, an alien race crash-landing onto Earth means only one thing – a bloody battle where humanity must expend all its energy, bombs, and bullets to survive against its otherworldly invaders. In Astrobotanica, things are the complete opposite for two reasons. Firstly, it’s set 300,000 years ago, and last time I checked, cavemen didn’t have tanks and assault rifles. Secondly, Xel – the blue-skinned, pointy-eared protagonist of the new survival game – isn’t here to kickstart some planetary domination. Instead, they’re here to indulge in their hobby of botany, live off the land, and coexist with the primitive…

The first thing I noticed about turn-based tactics game Dobbel Dungeon is that you can see fingerprints on the playdough character models. Even hard metallic objects such as swords are decked with faint, glimmering whorls. I’d have liked the game to let me leave my own prints on those playdough characters, care of the biometrics functionality I assume is secretly built into my work laptop. Perhaps they could have made this part of a proper degradation system, with high level characters looking all greasy and smooshed. Alas, Dobbel Dungeon has no time for such Crysis-grade simulation elements. Going by the…

If I’ve learned anything about the games industry over the past few years, it’s that there’s such a thing as too much hype. Just take a look at Highguard, Wildlight Entertainment’s ill-fated fantasy shooter that made its debut as ‘the big trailer’ at The Game Awards, but then released to mixed reviews. As soon as Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont’s Los Ratones secured its spot in the League of Legends European Championship, I felt myself wince slightly – the hype was real, but the potential backlash even more so. I’ve followed the star-studded team since day one, and I’ve truly enjoyed watching…
