GTA 6 may not yet be "content complete" and another release delay is possible, claims Jason Schreier
Update 8th January 2026: Posting on Bluesky, Jason Schreier has called this article “a complete misunderstanding of what I said, which is that I wouldn’t be shocked if GTA6 does come out this fall, following the same delay pattern as RDR2”. I think this is a fair criticism of the introductory paragraph below and the fifth paragraph, in which I misread the line about not being “super shocked” as referring to the possibility of another delay. Apologies, Jason! Original story follows: GTA 6 may not yet be “content complete”, according to anonymous sources cited by Bloomberg’s scooper-dooper journoman Jason Schreier,…
Intel's new gaming CPU wipes the floor with AMD, with up to 78% higher performance in Cyberpunk 2077
How the tables have turned… AMD, once the king of delivering the most powerful integrated graphics on its CPUs, has just had its derrière delivered to it by long-time rival Intel and its just-launched range of laptop chips. The Intel Core Ultra 300 series – based on the Panther Lake architecture – includes a GPU that’s 50% faster than Intel’s previous Core Ultra 200 Arrow Lake chips and is far, far faster than AMD’s current standard laptop chips, its Ryzen AI 300 range. Intel itself claims the new Arc B390 GPU inside its top-tier Panther Lake chips is 73% faster…
Peak is $8 because the devs wanted you to see a $5 price tag and, hey, "eight bucks is still five bucks"
Peak’s $8 price tag is easy on the wallet, particularly if you’re trying to convince a cash-strapped friend group to all jump into a new co-op romp. Co-creator Nick Kaman jokes that the $8 investment really reads more like a $5 to players’ eyes, and this is one of those jokes that has the unmistakable ring of truth about it.”We had this joke of, like, how much is a game really?” Kaman says in an interview with Game File (paid article link). “In a player’s mind, what does it mean to spend five bucks? Well, that’s five bucks. But six…
PUBG: Blindspot, the top-down one of Plunkbat's siblings, deploys into early access next month
PUBG: Blindspot, the PUBG spin-off previously dubbed Project Arc, is set to take the early access plunge on February 5th, 2026. In case you’ve understadably started wondering if this is the extraction shooter which prompted my last bit of newsing about a PUBG spin-off, it isn’t. That’s PUBG: Black Budget, PUBG: Blindspot’s all about fights in which you’re staring at the tops of folks’ heads.
Accusations that new Lords of the Fallen 2 enemy design copies Elden Ring Nightreign are "100% false," says CEO
Lords of the Fallen is one of the most Souls-like soulslikes to come from outside of FromSoftware. There are some great innovations that still make it stand out – its dual-reality Umbral lamp mechanic lets you seamlessly view a dark realm layered beneath the actual overworld, for example. But its medieval gothic fantasy vibes and challenging combat will make any FromSoft enjoyer feel right at home. However, following the recent reveal of a new enemy type for upcoming sequel Lords of the Fallen 2, developer CI Games has been forced to defend itself from plagiarism allegations, with the company’s CEO…

Tom Cruise got behind the camera to help shoot a lightsaber duel for Star Wars Starfighter: "Now when you see the movie, you'll know that part of it was shot by Tom"
Filming for Star Wars: Starfighter is well underway. And though he’s not in the cast, superstar actor Tom Cruise actually played a small role in the production, getting behind the camera to help film a key scene.Speaking to the New York Times, Starfighter director Shawn Levy describes how a set visit from Cruise escalated to the actor to a cameraman, filming part of a lightsaber duel, wading into a pond to capture his angle.”Last week Steven Spielberg was here. And now Tom Cruise is wielding a camera, ruining his very nice shoes,” Levy quips, explaining that he suggested Cruise pick…
Architect Of Ruin is a beautiful dark fantasy temple builder from former Valve devs and Hooded Horse
Was your new year resolution to rebuild an evil temple on behalf of a baleful god? I bring wonderful news, then. The former Epic and Valve developers of Dead Money LLC have signed a wicked pact with the strategy game illuminati of Hooded Horse to release Architect of Ruin – a “completely hand drawn” fantasy colony simulation game that looks like Dwarf Fortress twisted by 45 degrees and pumped full of Dungeon Keeper DNA. I am already in love with the trees, their rich foliage flattening to a core of shadow. Do not turn your back on the trees.…
Verdict By building on the original’s foundations with more impactful decision-making and gameplay refinements, The Outer Worlds 2 feels like the Obsidian game that Fallout: New Vegas fans have craved for over a decade. Fallout: New Vegas is up there among the greatest games of all time, and it’s difficult not to compare anything Obsidian does to its 2010 masterpiece. I already went through it at the beginning of last year with the middling Avowed and half-baked The Outer Worlds 1 before that. But this time, The Outer Worlds 2 actually delivers, finally living up to the high bar that…
