A-Train's The Boys redemption arc is the most satisfying since Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister, and it was emotional seeing him come full circle in season 5
Over the past seven years of watching The Boys, there is no doubt that A-Train has become my favorite character in the superhero satire. Sure, there are some great all-around figures like Kimiko and Hughie who always try to do the right thing, but no one has proved themselves as much as the super-fast Supe, which made the culmination of his redemption arc that much more emotional in the final season’s premiere.Warning: the following contains major spoilers for The Boys season 5 episodes 1 and 2, so turn back now if you’re not caught up with the Prime Video show.…

Popular Stardew Valley-like Starsand Island removed from Steam for using "visual elements from a classic title" without permission, devs say they've already sent a new build to Valve
Starsand Island, the charming new “carefree” take on Stardew Valley from Chinese developer Seed Sparkle Lab, is no longer available to purchase on Steam following its creators’ use of “visual elements” from another game without permission.Eagle-eyed fans noted that it had been taken off Valve’s platform yesterday, with posts online circulating with questions regarding why it wasn’t up on Steam anymore. Now, it seems we’ve got an answer from Seed Sparkle Lab itself. In its announcement on the matter, the studio explains it’s “due to an oversight during the planning phase,” as “certain core visual elements from a classic title…
Indie dev who lives in a village of 1,000 people stunned as over 250,000 Steam users buy his roguelike: "It's not adding up in my head"
One indie developer who lives in a village with a population of 1,000 people can’t quite wrap his hand around the fact that 250,000 Steam players bought his fantasy roguelike about dwarves.”It’s crazy, but I have no reference point,” the mostly solo developer behind Dwarves: Glory, Death, and Loot says in an interview with Jake Lucky of the Gaming Interviews YouTube channel. "Feels a bit like Elder Scrolls": Starfield is finally "starting to feel like a solid Bethesda title," fans say following Free Lanes update with exploration improvements
Bethesda rolled out a substantial Starfield update recently, in the form of the hefty Free Lanes. Between the advertised additional mechanics, features, and surprise qualify-of-life tweaks, fans of the space RPG truly believe it’s become something more people should play. The update’s namesake mechanic alone is something to rave about, because it allows players to fly through particular star systems without needing fast travel. This creates the opportunity to relax and play at a different speed when it comes to moving around the universe.”It’s much less of a chore and more engaging,” says one Redditor. “The random encounters are cool. You…

Roblox is introducing a subscription service that encourages more shady practices, is it? Sounds about right
I truly wonder when enough will be enough for Roblox Corporation. We all know how much money Roblox is raking in, and yet yesterday it was announced that a shiny new subscription service called Roblox Plus is on the way. This new subscription is effectively replacing Roblox Premium, which for varying monthly fees you’d get varying amounts of the in-game currency Robux. Except Roblox Plus sounds like a worse deal. Roblox Plus will apparently cost $5 a month (a price I’m sure we’ll see go up in the coming years), but unlike Premium, you won’t get any Robux…
New Crimson Desert patch adds skills for every character, weapon display toggles, and makes that controversial fast-forward feature even faster
Say what you want about Crimson Desert, but one thing that’s undeniable is how darn quick Pearl Abyss has been in responding to player feedback and pushing out patches like it has a quote to fill. The studio’s latest update adds new skills, an option to hide weapons, and an even faster fast-forward option, for some reason.Crimson Desert’s 1.03.00 patch is available on every platform the game is – except for the three people playing on the Mac App Store, which is in-progress – and its headlining feature is the fresh new skills. Kliff now has something called a Focused…
