Nintendo sued by players who say they should get any tariff refunds received by the US government
Nintendo has been sued by two players in the US, who say the company stands to unjustly profit from any tariff refunds it receives from the US government. In April 2025, after delaying Switch 2 pre-orders because of US economic uncertainty, Nintendo announced that Switch 2 accessories would see a price increase in the US “due to changes in market conditions”.While the hardware itself didn’t get a price increase, the Switch 2 Pro Controller, Joy-Con 2 controllers, Charging Grip, Wheel Set, Camera, Dock Set, Carrying Case and AC Adapter all saw their prices rise by $5-10.Then, in August 2025, Nintendo increased…
The Boys season 5 episode 4 sparks a theory fans are saying would be "the craziest twist of the series" so far
The latest episode of The Boys season 5 has sparked a new theory that a major character might be making a return. In episode 4, Homelander and Soldier Boy team up to hunt for V-One at the abandoned Vought facility Fort Harmony. However, on the way there, they end up discussing a mutual friend, Clara Vought, AKA Stormfront. After realizing they’ve both known her intimately, Soldier Boy questions his son what happened to her – and the reply is pretty interesting.Homelander says she died by suicide but neglects to mention how Ryan left her maimed from lazering before she took her…
After an hour in the beta, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is both a limp Mass Effect and a leaden interpretation of a very good TV show
It’s early days for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, but I can say confidently after an hour with a beta version that I don’t want to have sex with anybody in it. The TV show (I’ve not read the books – bite me, beltalowda) has a terrific cast of seasoned character actors portraying cheesy, hard-wearing oddballs from all around a colonised, fiercely class-divided solar system. Owlcat’s third-person RPG adaptation is set alongside the events of the show’s first season, and you catch wind of the Canterbury’s destruction and mysterious events on Eos in newscasts, while exploring the beta level: a…

Halo TV series producer and Xbox veteran Kiki Wolfkill announces departure from Microsoft after 28 years: "I couldn't be more inspired to climb the next mountain"
Kiki Wolfkill, former 343 Industries and Halo TV series producer, is leaving her role as head of Xbox film and television after nearly three decades at Microsoft. She reveals as much in a new post on LinkedIn, looking back fondly at her extensive time at Microsoft while announcing her departure: “After 28 years, I’ve made the difficult but exhilarating decision to leave Microsoft! Friday was my last day at a place where I grew up and learned so many invaluable lessons – how to listen, lead, be accountable, and most importantly, to care deeply for who you serve – your team…
The Logitech G502 Hero has been around for eons by this point, with former RPS chief Katharine’s original review of this mouse taking place back in October 2018 (when I was just 16 – god, I feel old). Nonetheless, by being an elder statesman of the gaming rodent world, it means this mouse can often be found at quite heavy discounts. Currently, it’s just £27 from Amazon, which as per my price tracking graphs, tells me it’s the best price we’ve seen the G502 Hero since Black Friday 2025. Not bad at all.
Transport Fever 3 brings modders in early to start the new city builder on the right foundations
Whether it’s Cities Skylines or Transport Tycoon, the best city-building games have long had a synergistic relationship with their modding communities. With Transport Fever 3, developer Urban Games isn’t just relying on the legacy of its modder-friendly predecessors, it’s actively pushing the boat out by allowing potential creators to jump in for early access as part of its ongoing closed beta. The new ‘Curated Mods Program’ aims to ensure you have “an international and iconic selection of mods available” right from day one of the full launch. More than six years on from the last entry, Transport Fever 3 is…
Like a lot of aging Super Nintendo aficionados, I didn’t have a great deal of optimism for Yoshi’s next big adventure, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, when it was first revealed late last year. The power-up-turned-support-hero has had what can be fairly described as a hit-and-miss track record since his fantastic top-billing debut in 1995’s Yoshi’s Island, with his mostly-outsourced roster of games failing to live up to the standards of the mainline Super Mario entries (though 2019’s Crafted World came closer than most). But as they say, perhaps I shouldn’t have judged a big, anthropomorphic book by its cover.Because after playing…
Final Fantasy 7 icon Tifa is rumored to join the Street Fighter 6 roster, stealing Tekken fans' most-requested guest fighter away from the already miserable fanbase
Tekken fan morale is already at an all-time low, but it looks like it’s about to get worse as the series’ most-requested guest character is rumored to be coming to Street Fighter 6 .Since Bandai Namco started introducing guest fighters with Tekken 7 – well, Tekken 3 had farting dinosaur manga star Gon, but it became widespread with 7 – fans have had two characters in mind for the roster: Kazuma Kiryu and Tifa Lockheart. Kiryu fans are probably over it as the series’ lead has said he doesn’t want the Yakuza character fighting women (so much so that he…
