Blizzard agrees that Overwatch's "Ozempic-chic" Anran design could be "better," hopes to update it during Season 1
Overwatch developer Blizzard has addressed its controversial Anran redesign after players labeled it “devoid of personality” and “a complete downgrade.” In a video statement posted to X, the game’s director, Aaron Keller, says that “she can be even better,” and that the team is working to make her “look and feel more like the fierce older sister that we all envision her to be.” The backlash comes after Overwatch revealed the character model for Anran, which not only looks nothing like she did in the trailer, but also looks remarkably similar to previous characters Kiriko and Juno. The ‘same face…
When Mario Tennis Aces was released on Switch nearly eight years ago, the general consensus was that it was a solid tennis game, let down by two things: its special shots and its disappointingly short Adventure Mode.Fast-forward, and we now have its Nintendo Switch 2 successor, Mario Tennis Fever, another solid tennis game in terms of its core mechanics, but one that, disappointingly, suffers from the exact same issues as the last entry. When it comes to the actual action on the court, anyone who’s played any of the Mario Tennis games going back to the N64 era will know what…

In that time, attacking any Arc will earn you merits for a range of items from Raider Tokens, to new Slugger outfit, and some useful blueprints – like the very useful Tactical MK. 3 (Healing Blueprint), one of the recently added Arc Raiders blueprints. There’s also a Vita Spray blueprint, which feels like a useful thing to have if you haven’t got it already. How to earn rewards in the Shared Watch event (Image credit: Embark Studios)To earn merits in…

My Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse review isn't one I want to rush, as this is a true game-changer
The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is now available to buy, and like many tech reviewers around the world, I’ve had my hands on the new mouse for a few days, having attended a deep dive showcase of the tech at Logitech’s HQ last week. However, while many reviewers have rushed out a quick review to hit today’s official launch, this mouse is one I want to take my time with. Inside the G Pro X2 Superstrike is a potentially revolutionary new technology that completely replaces the normal switches that sit under the left and right buttons of a mouse.…

Avengers: Doomsday is less than 11 months away, and Robert Downey Jr.’s viral marketing shows no signs of slowing down. The Marvel veteran’s latest tease: a custom, Doctor Doom-themed Super Bowl jersey.Posted on Downey Jr’s Instagram page, the Doom-green jersey features the gloved hand of Victor Von Doom holding an American football aloft, riffing on the iconic sports trophy. There’s not much to glean about the upcoming Marvel movie from the custom-made jersey, but there’s no denying it’s a fun tease. And it goes some way to making up for the absence of an Avengers: Doomsday trailer during the game…
Arc Raiders' new event rewards friendliness over violence, but I'm just thankful it's not a PvE mode
While February’s major Arc Raiders update, Shrouded Sky, is still in Embark Studios’ oven, a brand new event has just rolled out with the latest patch. The Shared Watch event is all about teamwork and banding together with random raiders to take down Arc machines, leaning into a lot of the wholesome, emergent moments that have grown from the game since launch. Arc Raiders has dealt with the PvPvE formula of extraction shooters a little differently. Sure, there’s always the risk that another raider will pick you off and scamper away with your loot, but its matchmaking system takes player…
A second StarCraft shooter is reportedly in production at Blizzard, co-developed by Arc Raiders owner Nexon. That’s according to a new report in South Korea, which claims that Nexon’s shooter division has begun “full-scale development” of a new game utilizing the StarCraft IP.The existence of an in-development StarCraft shooter was first reported last year, in Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier’s book Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment. However, commenting on the Korean report, Schreier claimed the Nexon project was likely unrelated to the StarCraft shooter mentioned in his book, which would mean Blizzard is planning at least two such projects.According to the…
In Mewgenics you can’t quit and return mid game, as it will entirely reset the battle. Do this and it will count as a save scum, getting you a visit from Steven. Thankfully there are no effects that can stop an entire run right away like I had initially feared, but I still wouldn’t recommend annoying Steven.Savescumming is a natural part of life. Don’t lie to me and say you haven’t used it to your advantage in a game like Fallout, or used the rewind features on Nintendo Switch Online. And in a game like Mewgenics, where one wrong move…
