A "Cowboy Coalition" battle NCR corporate imperialism in this freshly released Fallout: New Vegas quest mod
Yee haw. If you’ve ever thought Fallout: New Vegas is a little low on folks in stetson hats whose spurs jingle, jangle, jingle, then this new quest mod will almost certainly be in your saloon. That’s provided you’re up for an unapologetically political story about NCR-backed Brahmin barons facing resistance from groups of local ranchers keen to avoid having their steads swallowed up by big business.
The early days of Steam Next Fest are like the wild west; it’s a lot of everything all at once, and it can be difficult to sift through to find the diamonds. While it isn’t new, to us at least, I was super grateful to find Replaced, and even more grateful when it turned out to be super rad. A side-scrolling brawler with Arkham-style combat, ultra-slick visuals, and a lovely synth soundtrack, there isn’t much to dislike here. It isn’t often that these borderline old-school brawlers put a lot of stock in the feel of combat, with the number of…

A dev made their own little Factorio about feeding a monster instead of growing a factory, and the name Snacktorio is just one clever part of its Steam Next Fest demo
A good game name, I’ve heard, is easy to say and memorable, and maybe even descriptive. Snacktorio is checking all three boxes: it’s Factorio but with snacks. That is to say, it’s an automation sim about perfecting robot kitchens rather than factories that must grow, propelled by a familiar and engrossing web of conveyor belts, harvesters, processors, sorters, and all manner of assembly line fun.Snacktorio caught my eye in Steam Next Fest – partly because of its clever little name, but also because its pixel art reminded me very much of the original Risk of Rain. That cute, simple style…
“Sapkowski is a kleptomaniac with mythology” – How Reigns: The Witcher coaxes out the improv chaos of Geralt's universe
Reigns: The Witcher narrative designer Oscar Harrington-Shaw thinks Geralt of Rivia has a promising future as a private eye. “Another source of inspiration which I quite like leaning on, which the games do and the books do, is hard-boiled crime detective stories,” he tells me, when I ask whether his work on Nerial’s latest narrative card RPG has given him any wild notions for Witcher projects. “Geralt actually sort of lives in that world. So it could be cool to have like a spin-off neo noir crime detective film. Almost like Knives Out, even, but with Geralt as the detective.”
Verdict With a stylish, light, and robust design, easy-to-use controls, and convenient wireless connections and internal mic, the Logitech G325 is a budget gaming headset that’s just a pleasure to use. It doesn’t set any records for sound quality, but has a fun, bassy, punchy sound, while its mic does the job for voice comms and battery life is adequate. Pros Stylish, light, and comfortable design Convenient wireless connections Convenient internal mic Full parametric EQ in G Hub software Cons Sound quality is fun but basic Internal mic can’t compete with best boom mics Battery life merely ok Logitech’s latest…

Disney is reportedly worried about fan reaction to The Mandalorian and Grogu, but thinks Star Wars: Starfighter "is more likely to satisfy"
A new report states that Disney thinks Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter will go over better with audiences than Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian and Grogu.Per Variety, The Mandalorian and Grogu is “something of a question mark” for The Mouse, and that it “may not seem like a big-screen proposition for any but the most die-hard Baby Yoda lovers.” The report also mentions the largely negative reaction to the film’s first trailer, which was strange in tone, among other things… though the second fared much better.Per the official tagline, the New Republic enlists Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his unbearably cute,…
Amazon have released UK studio Maverick Games from a deal to publish the story-led open-world driving game the latter have been working on for a number of years. The split leaves Maverick, founded in 2022 by ex-Playground Games devs including Forza Horizon 5 creative director Mike Brown, looking for a new partner. Though, they say they’re already in “active dialogue” with such folks.
Cute visuals and the sheer panic of death don’t typically go well together – you don’t see Hello Kitty plummeting to her death very often. At least, not in official products. However, Peak’s chaotic co-op gameplay and bubbly visuals made it one of 2025’s biggest hits, with over 12,000 players still attempting to climb mountains as I write this article. If you and your friends are looking for something new to play, Peak is cheaper than a cup of expensive coffee, and it’s at a huge 52% off right now, too. Peak is easily one of the best co-op games…
