The full League of Legends patch 26.10 preview is here, and I fear Naafiri still has that dog in her
Since the latest League of Legends patch went live, I’ve lived in abject fear of Naafiri. She’s mobile, does a ridiculous amount of damage with the reworked Voltaic Cyclosword, and as soon as you think you’ve got her on a leash, she pops her W and slips away. Riot Games has unveiled its full Patch 26.10 preview for the MOBA, and it looks like, despite being nerfed, Naafiri is a dog that will continue to have its day on the Rift. The patch is also set to revert a 2014 change to Lee Sin’s Safeguard, while offering some love to…
The Assassin’s Creed X account has responded to a screenshot that reportedly comes from a private test for an upcoming Assassin’s Creed multiplayer game, claiming it’s been “heavily altered.”Yesterday, X user @xj0nathan, who has a history of posting unannounced content related to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, posted an image to social media that he claimed was from Assassin’s Creed Invictus, an upcoming multiplayer title. However, the official Assassin’s Creed account took the unusual step of responding to the post, writing, “Nice try… This might have started as an image from our private test, but it’s been heavily altered (most probably with…
Ubisoft is telling you to cut out the OP strategies when it comes to combat in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.Over on the Ubisoft website, Paul Fu, creative director of Black Flag Resynced (and developer on the original release) details some of the changes to the remake’s combat system. “At its core, Resynced is an action-adventure game, and combat is designed to be systematic and deliberate; every move is designed to have an advantage, a disadvantage, and a specific role to play,” Fu explains. While the rest of the combat now includes changes like a new heavy attack and dodge attack,…
MindsEye studio Build a Rocket Boy reportedly lay off around two thirds of 250 remaining staff following release of sabotage mission
MindsEye developers Build a Rocket Boy (BARB) have reportedly laid off around 170 of their remaining 250 staff in yet another round of cuts. The move leaves them with a studio of approximately 80 people following the release of an in-game mission which alludes to the alleged “sabotage” BARB CEO Mark Gerhard claims the game faced around its initial release.
Caedrel says that, while Los Ratones was profitable, the League of Legends team "wasn't really sustainable long term"
Ah, Los Ratones, European League of Legends’ lightning in a bottle. Honestly, I had lost all interest in western LoL until Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont’s self-styled “content team” came along and gave us one of most engaging storylines the MOBA’s had in years. It’s now but a not-so-distant memory, but that hasn’t stopped questions about the rats from popping up in Caedrel’s stream. One thing I always wondered is if LR actually managed to turn a profit; few esports teams actually do so, after all. The answer, perhaps unsurprisingly considering its popularity, is a positive one. “LR was set up to…
Microsoft is no longer developing a version of its Copilot AI assistant for consoles, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has confirmed. In a message on X, Sharm stated that one of Xbox‘s main priorities is to “address friction” it has with players and Xbox developers, and that the scrapping of Copilot on Xbox consoles is part of this move.“Xbox needs to move faster, deepen our connection with the community, and address friction for both players and developers,” she wrote.“Today, we promoted leaders who helped build Xbox, while also bringing in new voices to help push us forward. This balance is important as…
Valve admits "Steam Controller ran out faster than we anticipated," says "we're working on getting more in stock" but doesn't mention the scalper problem
PC gamers burned through the initial Steam Controller stock within an hour after orders went live, which Valve admits was unexpected as it reflects on the frustration-tinged launch.”Steam Controller ran out faster than we anticipated, and we hate that not everyone who wanted one was able to get it,” Valve says in a post on Bluesky. “We’re working on getting more in stock and will have an update on expected timeline soon.”Players feared this exact situation as soon as it was revealed that Valve wouldn’t be taking pre-orders for the Steam Controller, though I suppose opening the gates early doesn’t…
