When is the Elder Scrolls 6 release date? The next installment of Bethesda’s critically acclaimed RPG series has been a long time coming. In fact, it’s now been longer since the game’s announcement than the gap between Skyrim’s release and the announcement itself. Over half a decade ago, we had our first official look at the game courtesy of a short teaser trailer, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on the latest developments at Bethesda ever since. We might have been spoilt by the likes of Skyrim and Oblivion already, but we’re more than ready to get stuck into a new…
Sony’s strategy of releasing its single-player PlayStation 5 games on PC will soon be stopping, according to a new report.Bloomberg, citing people familiar with Sony‘s plans, says the company is pulling back from its plan to release its upcoming games on PC, with future single-player games set to become PS5 exclusives. The report claims that while Ghost of Tsushima eventually got a PC port a few years after its release on PlayStation consoles, its sequel Ghost of Yotei won’t be coming to PC after plans for a port were scrapped in recent weeks.Likewise, the upcoming PS5 exclusive Saros – the latest…
Pokemon Winds and Waves continues a sentimental tradition I've had for 27 years, and it still sets the RPG series apart
I got surprisingly emotional when Pokemon Winds and Waves was revealed last week. Maybe it’s to be expected as someone who’s grown up playing the series; Pokemon Blue introduced me to the wonderful world of RPGs in the late ’90s before I had any notion of what an RPG was. It’s wild to think about how the series has continued to evolve since then, and that two decades later, I’m still striving to be the very best, like no one ever was.Naturally, I can’t help but be excited (and cautiously optimistic after Pokemon Scarlet and Violet) to put my trainer…
Sony will no longer release their biggest PlayStation games on PC, claims report, starting with Ghost of Yōtei
Sony are breaking up with PC, reportedly! The PlayStation creators will no longer release big PS5 singleplayer games on things that are not actual PlayStations, according to “people familiar with the company’s plans”. In the short term, Sony will no longer publish a PC port of Ghost of Yōtei, sequel to windblown action samurai game Ghost of Tsushima. It’s all part of a pivot back towards the simpler days of console exclusivity, the insiders claim, and forms a stark contrast with rival Microsoft’s wheedling ambition to treat every piece of hardware like an Xbox.
A new Mewgenics update has arrived, and I’m breathing a sigh of relief. One of the first bosses I ever encountered in Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel’s million-selling roguelike was Fenrir, an evasive cat with a penchant for bear traps. He’s not a hard fight, but he is an annoying one because of the need to keep all of his hidden threats in mind. Thankfully, the latest set of Mewgenics patch notes will make this a much more bearable task, and also include some more welcome quality-of-life upgrades. Mewgenics doesn’t give you complete control over how your cats move, only…

Seth MacFarlane says an entire new season of The Orville has been written, but Ted could be dead
Seth MacFarlane has provided updates on the continuation of two live-action series he’s involved with – but one is far more promising than the other.Despite being radio silent for four years, sci-fi comedy The Orville – which follows the interstellar adventures of the USS Orville and its crew – could be back for more episodes.”I will be honest with you: season four is written,” MacFarlane told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s just a question of when we have the time to produce it.” You may like MacFarlane added, “I’m the problem. It’s [a matter of] when I can make that my…
"Gary will no longer attack the player from beyond the veil" says The Outer Worlds 2's latest patch, which also makes a death pit work as intended
It’s been a little bit since The Outer Worlds 2 got that November patch aiming to take care of mysterious eyebrow disappearances. I wonder what the latest one, which is fairly beefy, does. Oh, it adds a number of handy features like the option to advance time by waiting, toggle walking via key press, and extra stealth kill animations. Nice and boring. Oh, wait. “Gary will no longer attack the player from beyond the veil”. “Fixed cases where some NPCs could see the player while they were wearing the bucket hat”. “The pit outside of the entrance to Algid Menagerie…
Trump administration reportedly considering pulling Tencent's gaming investments, potentially hurting Epic and Riot
It’s no secret that Tencent has stakes in, well, pretty much everything. It outright owns League of Legends and Valorant developer Riot Games, alongside other giants like Dune Awakening’s Funcom and Path of Exile’s Grinding Gear Games. It also has shares in some of the biggest companies out there, including the likes of Techland, Ubisoft, Remedy, Paradox, and even FromSoftware. It’s also a minority shareholder of Epic Games, (it owns 28%, and shares are fully diluted), and has apparently invested in Discord and Roblox. I really mean it when I say Tencent is everywhere. But that may be set to…
