Hasbro is releasing a batch of Spider-Man: Brand New Day-themed toys ahead of the upcoming film, and two of them are, indeed, our boy Savage Hulk.
The toys in question are the Savage Hulk Talk’n Electric Mask, which makes a variety of Hulk sounds, and the Savage Smash Hulk action figure (H/T ScreenRant). This confirms that Savage Hulk will be in Brand New Day, despite rumors that Grey Hulk would be making an appearance.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Savage Hulk is the version of Hulk that is at his angriest and most mindless. He loses all thoughts and memories, and is virtually unstoppable. He first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #300, and is the one who speaks in third person i.e. “Hulk Smash!”

Hulk was grey in the very first issue of the comic, but the character of Grey Hulk didn’t appear until issue #324. This version of Hulk also does the whole “the madder he gets, the stronger he gets” thing, but he retains his conscience… making him less dangerous than Savage Hulk. We’ve really only seen Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner turn into Smart Hulk in the MCU, and this could very well make him harmful rather than helpful to Spidey in the new movie. (We did see Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World, but, uh, that was a totally different guy).
