Alongside copper, Subnautica 2 sulphur is an important resource when it comes to crafting electrical items in the survival game, such as the advanced wiring kit and the essential repair tool.
Unfortunately, it can be hard to find, and even if you do come across it, you won’t find much to begin with. This is in part due to the fact that larger sulphur deposits are found in the hard-to-reach graveyard area of the Subnautica 2 map, so here’s what you need to know about getting there and finding sulphur.
Where to get sulphur in Subnautica 2
In Subnautica 2, sulphur can be found near to, and inside, the graveyard, the very hot area to the east of the lifepod.
The handy resource is found close to Gold in Subnautica 2, which is also found around the graveyard, but you won’t have to go as far into the area to find sulphur. In fact, you can pick up a few pieces of the yellow-gold resource before you feel the unbearable heat, meaning you don’t have to have unlocked the heat tolerance adaptation to get it.
That said, there is a lot more sulphur to be found inside the sweltering zone, so get the adaptation and prepare a Subnautica 2 rebreather and tadpole before you head out to find larger quantities.
Speaking of your Subnautica 2 tadpole, you’re going to want to have a repair tool on hand to fix it up when it takes damage. That, as it happens, requires sulphur to craft, so, with that, we’ve come circle.
