When is the next Dreamlight Valley update?

What is the next Dreamlight Valley update? Each new Dreamlight Valley update adds new characters, features, and quests to the life sim. The roster of Dreamlight Valley residents has expanded so much already, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Disney Dreamlight Valley has never been better thanks to the colorful life game’s new characters and mechanics. Its vibrant community makes it even better, and paid DLC brings even more biomes and residents to your valley. Even if you don’t want to splash out on paid content, there are still plenty of new Dreamlight Valley recipes, characters, realms, and more added to the base game regularly, so here’s everything we know about the next free Dreamlight Valley update.

Next Dreamlight Valley update release date

Based on recent events, we expect the next Dreamlight Valley update release date to be around Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT.

Following the romantic Puppy Love updated, appropriately released the week of Valentine’s Day, the next character to arrive in the valley is Pocahontas.

We know this from the roadmap, shown below, which shows one of the Dreamlight Valley critters sitting next to Pocahontas’ iconic necklace. While the raccoon critter looks similar to Meeko, it isn’t him, so it seems Meeko may not be added as a character or critter just yet.

The roadmap lists the Pocahontas update as being released in ‘Spring 2026’, but, using the current two-month rotation and the release date of past updates, we estimate this to be around April 15 or 22.

Dreamlight Valley update schedule

Suitably planned for Spring 2026, get to meet Pocahontas for the first time. The beautiful “free-spirited adventurer” will likely arrive in April 2026, before the update we’ve personally been waiting for since launch follows around June.

Pegasus may have flown in first, having arrived as a mount in the Wishblossom Ranch DLC, but Hercules and hopefully Meg won’t be far behind in the Summer 2026 update. Looking at the roadmap image, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we may even see the Danny Devito-voiced Phil to boot.
