Amazon’s Spring Sale is a great time for finding the best Nintendo Switch 2 headsets at a more reasonable price, but the Turtle Beach Airlite Fit was already reasonable to begin with. Its MSRP is only $27.99, which is as budget-friendly as they come for wired headsets, especially ones draped in fancy official Switch 2 colors.
If that’s still more than you wanted to fork out on a headset, the Spring Sale has knocked its price down to $19.74 (Amazon) today. That’s still strangely not a record-low, as there are still a few cents to go until it reaches its lowest ever price I spotted during last year’s holidays. But this is still a great deal, even with that teeny tiny price difference, and a great headset for all your Switch 2 gaming needs.

I love testing the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories that prove that cheap in price doesn’t have to mean cheap in quality. The Turtle Beach Airlite Fit is definitely one of those products, as its sound quality is vastly better than its full $27.99 price lets on. I don’t want to exaggerate, as this pair of cups doesn’t have the mind-blowing sound quality you’d get from the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. However, during my Turtle Beach Airlit Fit review, I found myself using the headset to continue listening to the jazz stylings of the Mario Kart World soundtrack for hours, and it was a delight.
Turtle Beach has packed 40mm Neodymium drivers in each cup. I’ve tested a fair number of cheaply priced headsets, and that normally means having to deal with plenty of warbling on lower frequencies, and yet these cups never faltered, no matter if I was playing Mario Kart World or experiencing the very busy soundstage of Donkey Kong Bananza.

The microphone isn’t that bad either, which is usually where the quality takes a hit with headsets below the $100 price point. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not broadcast quality, so I don’t recommend it for podcast recording or streaming. However, it’s ideal for a few hours on GameChat or Discord if you want to chat with your friends. Your voice will have a slight muffling to it, but nothing so egracious that your friends will have trouble making out a word.
If your budget can stretch a little further, I’d recommend most players start with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3 Wireless headset, which is down to $89.99 at Amazon thanks to the same Spring Sale. The SteelSeries pair comes in a variety of colors, has a microphone you can detach and set aside, and brings Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connections, into the picture.
Just remember, this deal price will only be around until March 31, so you’ll need to pick it up sooner rather than later.
