Each day, it gets easier and easier to show love and support for the Pokémon Gengar. The spooky boy is now available on just about every gaming accessory you can think of, and my work-in-progress game room is better for it.
Late last year, I covered the release of the Razer Gengar Collection in the US and UK, which features his big red eyes and toothy grin on everything from a gaming mouse and keyboard, headset, and even a matching mouse mat. As a spooky girlie and Gengar fan, I was happy enough with being able to transform my desk into a ghost-type shrine, but then other big-name gaming brands joined in to release Nintendo Switch 2 accessories and more, and opened up my eyes to the endless possibilities – and there’s more hauntingly good gaming goodies where they came from.
The Secretlab chair is the latest addition to the world of Gengar accessories, and it’s a showstopper. Announced on January 22, 2026, it’s definitely hard to look away at the mischievous ghost Pokemon’s face as he’s largely spewed out across the back of a Titan Evo gaming chair, and it’s one of the best uses of the Pokemon licence I’ve spotted to date.
Instead of just showcasing on a big piece of Gengar art and calling it a day, the Secretlab logo at the top of the chair has been given a matching purple makeover, and there’s a subtle pattern featuring all three original evolved forms. This Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar pattern that’s etched in the sides of the chair is found from the cushion to the back support, and is made up of a stunning pink-purple gradient that is making my gaming room quiver with excitement just thinking about it.
There are no extra features that make the chair particularly good for Pokemon games or anything of that caliber, but it’s one of the best-looking Gengar gaming goodies I’ve seen to date, and a sign that there’s no end in sight for Gengar gaming accessory releases. The Gengar chair, and the Pikachu and Eevee models from the same line, are available starting at $684 / £549 at Secretlab, but don’t worry if your budget can’t stretch that far.
One of the most unique uses of the legendary number 94 Pokemon to date has been the Hori line of Switch 2 accessories. The accessory line starts from $19.99 at Best Buy, and this time Gengar isn’t alone across the pretty purple peripherals and is joined by Mimiyu. The contrast between the deep purple Gengar and the series of pale, pastel yellow Mimikyu makes the line, which includes a Switch 2 Vault Case, Hori Gengar & Mimikyu Adventure Pack, Hori Gengar & Mimikyu HORIPAD Turbo wired controller, and a Hori Gengar & Mimikyu Game Card Case, look more dainty and adorable.
I’ve spent a few weeks now with the Vault Case, and while I feel like there’s some missed opportunities (the back is just plain purple with no patterns or art), it’s hard to outdo this Nintendo Switch 2 case in looks alone. I’m especially a fan of how Hori chose to ensure the little details, from the plastic edging of the officially licensed case, to the zip, and even the interior storage inside, all matched that lighter purple shade of Gengar that’s printed on the hardshell exterior cover.
Where to buy the Hori Gengar and Mimikyu accessories
You will actually need to own a Nintendo Switch 2 in order to make any use out of the Hori Gengar and Mimikyu accessories, but there’s also the Razer Gengar Collection to contend with. Both PC and PS5 players can appreciate the line, thanks to the star of the show, the Razer Pokemon Gengar Kraken Kitty V2 headset, which is available for $139.99 (Razer US).
Before its eventual launch in the US and UK in August 2025, I had been eyeing up images of this wired pair of cups over on the exclusive Asia Razer social media pages. Typically, I’m not hugely a fan of wired headsets, but I couldn’t get enough of the design, which included Gengar’s little purple hair tendrils and ears on the top of the headband. Back in the day, I used to be a dedicated cosplayer who entered competitions and occasionally won, and so the fact that you could don the Razer headset and look like a Gengar was utterly delightful for me.
The pair of cups also went the extra mile to include customizable RGB Gengar silhouettes on the earcups for that extra bit of Gengar-goodness. This headset release was later followed by the Gengar Edition Razer Cobra mouse and Gengar Edition Razer Gigantus V2 XXL mouse mat. Much like the headset, Razer gave its more affordable accessories the Gengar flair, so these accessories aren’t ideal if you’re after the best gaming PC rig out there, but are if your Gengar fandom is a bigger priority.
Where to buy the Razer Gengar Edition accessories
When Razer’s Gengar Collection finally started dropping for US and UK fans, I thought that was just a nice fluke for us ghost-type aficionados. However, judging by the amount of Gengar accessories that are now available for gaming PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2 gaming setups, I didn’t then fully appreciate just how popular the purple-bellied boy was.
I should have known better given I’ve been a Pokemon fan since the anime and first-gen games originally landed in the UK. Not to mention, Gengar has made regular appearances in ‘best of’ Pokemon lists across the globe for years now, including coming in second place in this huge Reddit survey reported by Business Insider in 2019, which over 52,000 people took part in. Only Charizard managed to win out in popularity, and I have no doubt that Gengar would rank equally as high in 2026.
If you’re always haunted by images of the Gengar and want to show your love by giving your gaming space a purple overhaul, there’s a lot you can choose from. If these accessory releases are anything to go by, I have a feeling there will be even more Gengar gaming goodies to come.
