New gacha RPG Neverness to Everness is upping its launch rewards following a wave of feedback from early players, handing out free currency and characters to tide players over until fixes arrive.
In a Twitter post, the official NTE account sends “a heartfelt thank you for being with us through launch day” to the game’s global audience. The game’s Chinese branch previously announced a similar compensation plan for launch players, so this brings global up to speed.
“Since the servers went live, we’ve received an incredible amount of feedback and suggestions from you,” the English post continues. “The team is actively looking into them, and we’ll continue to follow your feedback closely while rolling out fixes and improvements.”

Anyone who plays Neverness to Everness before version 1.0 ends and unlocks the in-game mail function (which does not take long at all) will receive two rewards.
On April 30, 1,600 Annulith, one of the premium currencies used to pull for new characters on the gacha banners, will be sent to all players. On May 3, a free S-class standard character selector will be sent out, letting everyone pick one baseline character to add to their roster. Again, you’ll have until the end of update 1.0 to claim these.
“Thank you again for your support and understanding,” the devs conclude.
Launch rewards are standard for gacha games like this, as are launch issues. By and large, Neverness to Everness seems to have fared pretty well so far, with the game sitting at 4.2 stars for user reviews on Google Play with over 1 million downloads, and 4.6 stars on the App Store. It’s also on PS5, where it’s holding at 4.3 stars. (From what I’ve heard and seen, the game performs markedly better on PC.)

Compared to recent open-world action RPGs in the gacha space, Neverness to Everness has leaned more into urban exploration and driving, as well as slice of life interactions like dating, though combat is also a major part of the game. This seems to have won it some early fans, though familiar complaints abound. Stop me if you’ve heard these before: bland main character, limited romance options, performance dips, and a bit of a meandering story. At least it doesn’t have the dreaded gacha 50/50 loss chance?

You’d be forgiven for getting NTE mixed up with the so-called anime GTA game Ananta, which is actually not a gacha game despite many similarities.
