Our experts review games, movies and tech over countless hours, so you can choose the best for you. Find out more about our reviews policy.

Every time I review an all-in-one carrying case, I have to preface the review with the fact that there aren’t a lot of differences between them.

These Nintendo Switch 2 cases all come designed with the basic principle of featuring space to store both the handheld and the accessories needed to set it up, which include the official dock and its accompanying AC adapter, charging cable, and HDMI cable. What sets the cases apart, like this JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case, is what features the manufacturer thought to change or add, and this version is definitely up there with my favorites of what I’ve tested so far.

This $45.99 / £29.99 JSAUX case is installed with a plastic expandable handle, which makes it far easier to carry. More importantly, the top section of the case includes foam inserts so you can switch out the Switch 2 for other handhelds, and the compartments featured in the bottom can be removed so you can pile in your accessories as you see fit. All of those unique changes have secured this case’s place as one of the best all-in-one carrying cases I’ve tested so far. The only thing stopping it from a full 5-star rating is its plain all-black aesthetic.

    Design

Talking of its plain design, it’s definitely my least preferred part of this entire case. The fact that it’s all black isn’t surprising, as that’s pretty much the norm for other JSAUX accessories, like the JSAUX EnergyFlow Joy-Con 2 charger I tested late last year, but the monotony of it all does get a bit grating over time. Most of the all-in-one cases on the market today for the Switch 2 look this way, so it’d be nice if third-party brands like JSAUX mixed things up a bit with different colorways.

As this isn’t an officially licensed accessory like the PlayTrek 2-in-1 case that I reviewed back in 2025, likely, JSAUX wasn’t able to officially use the neon red and blue colors the gaming handheld is known for, but at least an all-white version would have shaken things up a bit.

Besides it’s all black coloring and EVA & Water-Resistant exterior, this case is pretty large, standing at 320mm x 210mm x 146mm, and is made of two compartments zipped together. The upper half is designed to store the handheld itself, while the bottom, larger compartment is designed to store the dock and any other accessories of your choosing. On the exterior of the case, you can find a plastic handle for travel and plastic hooks designed for attaching the accompanying carrying strap, which allows you to carry the case like a messenger bag, if that happens to be your preference.

    Features

The upper compartment of this case contains space to store the handheld and two removable foam inserts to keep it firmly in place. These can be easily removed if you want to store a different device, like the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X, but as someone who just switches between the Switch 2 and the Steam Deck OLED, I didn’t have one at hand to put that compatibility to the rest.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Rather than having a flap of fabric that sits above the handheld to store games found on cases like the Belkin Carrying Case, JSAUX opted to have the game storage built into the bottom instead. I was a bit uneasy with this feature as I had the looming fear that the heat from the back of the device would cause damage to any of my physical games. Fortunately, weeks after testing, they all work fine with no visible damage, which is a major relief. If that’s a concern for you, you can always grab a game storage case and store that in the bottom compartment instead.

This upper section is attached via a series of JSAUX-branded zips to the large bottom compartment, which is where you can store the rest of your Switch 2 goodies. Out of the box, it comes with a series of six compartments inside that are fully removable. Some all-in-one cases have these permanently installed, so it’s a nice touch on JSAUX’s part to allow more freedom and customizability.

The inside of this bottom area also contains a small fabric mesh pouch on the inner edge. During my weeks of testing, I had zero room to get anything in there once each compartment was filled up with my Switch 2 dock, cables, and controller add-ons, unless I wanted to ensure something got damaged. It’s nice that it’s there, but I can’t think of anything to practically store inside, bar some amiibo cards as they’re flat and won’t get in the way of anything else.

    Performance

This case might not look on-trend, especially when I was lugging it about the town my in-laws are located in over the holidays, but it was incredibly easy to travel with – which is why it remains as one of my favorites of its kind so far.

The simple but sturdy and expendable plastic handle on the top made carrying it around an easy feat. A lot of these cases opt for a fabric strap, which can buckle at the seams due to the weight of the console and its accessories combined, but the plastic was robustly built enough to handle my entire setup. Not to mention, the way it expands made it comfortable to hold, which I really appreciated as someone who deals with joint pain in their hands as a result of a chronic illness.

It’s not just the plastic handle that made me appreciate this case, but also how much of my setup I could store inside it. There are a lot of Switch 2 accessories I like to take with me at a time, especially if I happen to be testing them for future reviews, and this JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case was well up for that task.

I was able to store the Switch 2 dock, AC adapter, charging cable, and the HDMI cable, along with extras like my Joy-Con racing wheel add-ons, and my STEALTH Twin Controller Grips, which were a must when traveling up to my in-laws for the holidays for some Mario Kart World action. Adding all that bulk didn’t damage anything either. When I opened up the bottom compartment when I arrived at my in-laws’ house over the holidays, every part of my Switch 2 was just as I left it.

I’m not hugely a fan of the fabric choice for the lining of the case and the compartments however, as all the various bits of dust and cat hair in my home couldn’t stay away. This isn’t a unique problem to this case, and often I find the interior lining of most handheld cases to be made of a similar cat-hair-attracting material. It’s not a deal-breaker, but definitely something to be wary of if you have any sensitivities to dander and like your accessories to remain as pristine as possible inside and out.

Should you buy the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case for Switch 2?

Photo close up of the JSAUX-branded zips.

If you’re in the market for case to take your entire Switch 2 setup with you and don’t care about an all-black aesthetic, the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case for the Nintendo Switch 2 is the one I recommend the most.

It is a little pricey at $45.99 in the US, but its already received a discount that’s taken its price down to $29.99 at some retailers, which feels more than reasonable for all you get with this feature-full and practical accessory. Not only does it provide a way to store your handheld, some games, and everything you need to set it up at a friend or family member’s house, but you can also take the top section off and use it as an everyday case, saving you from having to buy another.

For those of you like me, who like to take more accessories with you, there’s plenty of storage in that bottom compartment for more than just the essentials. You can store everything from a spare Switch 2 Pro controller to a set of Joy-Con wheels. Even with all that added bulk, the expandable plastic handle at the top of the carrying case makes travelling extremely comfortable and easy, and my Switch 2 setup has remained in it ever since. The only thing stopping it from a place on our best Nintendo Switch 2 case list is that its design is pretty dull. If JSAUX ever decides to release colorways or allow me to grab this case in a pastel purple or pink colorway, then I’d definitely reconsider.

How I tested the JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case for Switch 2

The JSAUX All-In-One Carrying Case was my go-to accessory for over two weeks’ worth of testing, starting just before I left for my holiday break. During that time, I stored my Ninty handheld, its dock, and cables with me, along with all my favorite extras to my in-laws’ house and back after Christmas was over and done with.
