Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures
It’s a leaner month for Lego’s Funko-style figures, but what we’re getting have enough radical energy to get us through. I adore these old-school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kits; they really sell that classic look with minimal parts (showcasing just how strong those original cartoon designs were, I suppose – they’re recognizable even when recreated with chunky bricks and curves).

Douglas Dc-3 Pan Am Airliner
Who wants to travel in style? One of the most notable new Lego sets in April 2026 is a real throwback to the past – the 1930s, to be precise. We’re getting an enormous, 1,903-piece version of the Douglas DC-3 PAN AM airliner this month, and it’s an ode to all things vintage. It’s even staffed by its own little flight crew; you’re getting minifigures of a pilot, flight attendants, and purser in historical PAN AM uniforms.
As an added bonus, you can lift off the roof to peek inside the cabin itself or take a look at the cockpit to get an idea of what it was like flying PAN AM almost 100 years ago.
New Lego sets: Ideas
Fans are already agreeing that the new Ideas kit for this month is an “instant-buy,” and to be honest, I get it. Lego’s recreation of Tintin and the Moon Rocket is a delightful retro throwback that makes me feel all nostalgic even at a glance. It doesn’t just feature the spaceship, though; the set also includes minifigure versions of the Tintin himself, Captain Haddock, Thomson and Thompson, Professor Calculus, and – of course – Snowy the dog.
Just be aware that availability is dodgy right now. At the time of writing, the kit is out of stock – you’ll need to sign up for notifications at the Lego store if you want a shot at grabbing it (it isn’t available anywhere else, unfortunately).

The Razor Crest
Even though the Mandalorian and Grogu movie isn’t out until May, the models based on it are dropping out of hyperspace as part of April’s new Lego sets. However, my favorite of the bunch would have to be the new version of Mando’s ride – the Razor Crest.
There have been a few models based on this ship, ranging from a behemoth Ultimate Collector Series kit to a smaller playset. This is more in line with the latter, making it perfect for padawans wanting to recreate their favorite movie scenes but also adults hoping to grab a display piece that isn’t gonna take all day to make (or use up a whole shelf’s worth of space, for that matter). It’s got a few hidden secrets, too. While you might expect an opening ramp that leads to the cargo hold or a removable cockpit canopy so you can see inside, there’s also a section behind the blasters where you can get a good look at the inner workings of the ship. I love this level of unnecessary but very cool detail.
It’s a close thing for me, though. The New Republic X-Wing might be one of Lego’s best playset renditions of the ship to date, and I can see folks going wild for the new Grogu model. However, the Razor Crest still pulls ahead in my book thanks to all those extra goodies.

Despite The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hitting theaters this month, there’s a distinct lack of new Lego sets based on the Mushroom Kingdom in April. Actually, Lego Luigi and his iconic death stare is the only one making it to the finish line.
Luckily, it’s a great model that deserves the limelight anyway. Much like its predecessor, Mario & Standard Kart (which you can see here at the Lego store), it does a brilliant job of bringing a cartoonish, expressive character to life while avoiding the uncanny valley some of these kits venture into. It’s also to-scale with Mario, so you can display them alongside each other in an eternal race.

There’s something about this idea that really appeals to me. A birthday celebration to kick off the day’s festivities? That’s perfect, especially if you want to make a novel experience for a loved one that’s just a little different.
