If the modern Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy had you dreaming about earlier times, then Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
Announced during the IO Interactive Showcase, Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is being developed by Saber Interactive and will launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in 2027.
This is a collection of three games, Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts. All three games will come with enhanced visuals – that you can toggle on and off – a new Photo Mode, and more.
This is coming from the same studio that delivered the recent Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain remasters, and this release will be held to the same high standards as those.
The announcement trailer doesn’t showcase any gameplay, but the handful of screenshots we’ve been given showcase the visual upgrades. 2D billboard assets in the background are now fully-modeled 3D environments, making the game feel more modern than ever. Of course, you can still ignore the upgraded visuals and play with the original, if that’s what you prefer.
Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered is set for release in 2027, and we can’t wait to see how these classic games feel after more than 20 years.
