I don’t know about where you live, but in my rainy British city, spring is still dragging its feet, and I don’t see any reason to spend time outside. Fortunately, Humble Choice is here to provide us all with endless indoor entertainment, and this month’s lineup of games has some really nice gems in store for us.

If you’re late to the party, Humble Choice is the monthly Humble Bundle membership that drops a selection of PC games you can keep forever every month. If you like to regularly update your Steam collection, this is a very good deal because you only pay £11.49 a month, and some of these games alone would cost way more. If you play on Steam Deck, rejoice, because a lot of this month’s offerings are Steam Deck games too!

So what do we have on the menu this month?

The standout in my eyes is definitely Chants of Sennaar, a clever linguistic puzzle adventure where language itself is the main challenge. Of course, you play a hero announced by a prophecy, on a quest to unite his kin: ‘The Traveler’. You explore a mysterious tower inhabited by different cultures, each speaking their own unique script. The goal? Slowly decode the languages by observing context, symbols, and patterns. The story is very evocative of the Tower of Babel story, and the visuals serve this mythic otherworldly ambiance very well, with its simplicity and dreamy colors. It got really good reviews, so you can expect to have a good time! And, if you’re wondering, yes, this game is Steam Deck compatible.

We stay in the realm of the mythical with Sworn, which takes inspiration from Arthurian legends and mixes it with fast-paced roguelike combat. Players go on a quest to find the Grail and restore Camelot, explore cursed lands, battle enemies, and slowly power up their characters through repeat runs. With its pick-up-and-play structure, it’s exactly the sort of game that works well in handheld bursts.

Fans of classic RPGs also have something to celebrate thanks to Etrian Odyssey III HD. This remastered version of the Nintendo DS dungeon crawler keeps the series’ iconic map-drawing gameplay while polishing the visuals and interface for modern systems. If you enjoy methodical exploration and party-building, it’s a satisfying RPG that translates surprisingly well to handheld play.

Outside the Steam Deck-friendly highlights, this month’s lineup also includes:

    • Tempest Rising, which delivers classic command-and-conquer-style RTS gameplay with modern visuals,
    • Smalland: Survive the Wild, which offers a unique survival experience where you explore a world from the perspective of a tiny adventurer navigating giant insects and towering plants. While Smalland isn’t officially Steam Deck verified, many players still find it playable on the handheld with a bit of tweaking.

There are more games available this month, but I’m not going to reveal everything to you, am I? There’s no fun in that. So go ahead and check Humble’s page to see what else Humble Choice has in store for you.

As always with Humble Choice, the games are yours to keep, and part of the subscription helps support charity. With several Steam Deck-friendly titles in the mix this month, it’s a particularly nice pick for anyone looking to expand their portable library.
