You see, in Prop Sumo, you won’t be fighting as weird amorphous figures. Instead, you’ll take the form of myriad objects, such as punching bags, rocking horses, and a suspiciously large magnet. You can even test your mettle in the co-op game as an anvil while you’re beating the stuffing out of one of the other 40-plus playable props, should you snag it from the Epic Games Store.
At first glance, Prop Sumo gives big Smash vibes. The nine available maps appear to be inspired by the likes of Pirate Ship and Hyrule Castle, though that could be a generically themed coincidence. Nonetheless, you’ll feel right at home on Prop Sumo’s stages if you’ve spent any amount of time with Nintendo’s iconic fighting game series.
Likewise with Smash, Prop Sumo also boasts a solid arsenal of items that can give you the edge in battle, including frost rays and magnetizing mines. There are 22 of these in total, so be sure to grab them as soon as you spot them to ensure maximum points. As we all know, points mean prizes, and the ultimate aim of the game is to rack up more than anyone else.
