There are many factors as to why certain skins are valued as highly as they are in Counter-Strike 2, including the rarity, float value, and pattern, all of which we’ll explain as we break down the most expensive CS2 skins.
While you can find out the value of most skins using Steam’s Community Market, you know you’re onto something potentially special when there aren’t many past sales to determine the skin’s value. In instances like this, you may need to get in contact with skin appraisers to learn the true value of your digital pixels. Some CS2 skins have been valued at over one million dollars, but you won’t see them on the Community Market due to the $2,000 market limit. We are aware that there may be skins that are worth more than the ones we have on our list, but we’re only looking at confirmed trades with irrefutable proof.

AK-47 Case Hardened
Price: $1 million
The most expensive transaction to date is the sale of a StatTrak Factory New AK-47 Case Hardened, featuring the elusive pattern 661 that produces the distinct blue gem effect. The sale was confirmed by a known skin collector with the username roflm0nster on X, revealing that the skin sold for over $1,000,000 in June 2024, but they wouldn’t confirm the exact amount of the buyer.
Case Hardened is a skin pattern in Counter-Strike that is used across a variety of weapons, with the two most popular variants being knives and AK-47s. Every time a Case Hardened skin is unboxed, it produces a unique pattern that is determined by the pattern index number. We should note that the value of these skins hasn’t been determined by Valve; the community has created its own set of rules to evaluate how valuable each pattern is. Generally speaking, bluer is better.
In the case of this particular AK-47 Case Hardened skin, it happens to have a pattern referred to by skin collectors as “Blue Gem,” meaning the blue stain encompasses most of the weapon. This skin can be purchased on the Steam Community Market starting around $1,350, but you likely won’t find any rare patterns without going to dedicated trading websites.
AK-47 Case Hardened & Karambit Case Hardened
Price: $500,000
In a combo deal supposedly worth over $500,000, zipelCS on X announced back on April 16, 2023, that he completed the “second largest trade in CS history.” Zipel is a popular CS skin trader with multiple high-priced transactions attributed to him, so it’s safe to say this is legit.
The StatTrak Minimal Wear AK-47 also has the 661 pattern and is equipped with four Titan holographic stickers from Katowice 2014 slapped on the side of it. Compared to the AK-47 that topped our list, this one is in slightly worse condition, but it redeems itself with the expensive stickers.
Meanwhile, the Karambit may be well-worn, but the Blue Gem pattern is virtually unrivalled – we’ve never seen anything like it. The total value of the AK-47 alone is said to be in the $400,000 range, which means the Karambit is worth at least $100,000.
iBUYPOWER (Holo) Katowice 2014
Price: $110,000
The rarest and most valuable sticker comes from the Katowice 2014 major tournament, sporting the logo of the now-defunct and disgraced iBUYPOWER team, who were caught match-fixing one year later. The iBUYPOWER (Holo) Katowice 2014 sticker was sold for $110,000, according to the trade history on a Chinese skin marketplace.
Unlike weapon skins, stickers can only be applied once, so their value is at their absolute high when they remain unused. Stickers have been known to increase the value of rare skins, though it’s difficult to determine whether this is the case for every sticker or if it only applies to the rarest ones. If you want to get your hands on this ultra-rare sticker, it’s currently listed for a minimum of $85,000.
Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore
Price: $61,052
The AWP Dragon Lore is one of the most sought-after Counter-Strike skins due to its rarity, with fewer than 100 on sale at any given time. This particular Dragon Lore was sold on a third-party trading website for just over $60,000 back in 2018, making it the highest-value trade in Counter-Strike history at the time.
In hindsight, this might’ve been one of the best investments ever made, as this weapon would easily command at least five times the original price in 2026. This weapon is so rare that even the Cobblestone Souvenir Packages that they’re featured in go for an eye-watering sum of $1,100. There are fewer than 120 Souvenir Dragon Lore in existence, with the drop rate being as low as 0.025%.
Dragon Lores are so expensive that even in the worst wear conditions, they’re priced well over the $2,000 market value limit set by Valve, forcing traders to look elsewhere for this sniper rifle.
Sports Gloves Pandora’s Box
Price: $49,999
Gloves were introduced to Counter-Strike back in 2016, giving players the opportunity to match their weapon skins and knives with their handwear. The Sports Gloves Pandora’s Box are incredibly popular due to their unique purple pattern, making them appealing to anyone using Doppler skins. One listing on CSFloat recently sold for just under $50,000, establishing them as the most valuable gloves available.
M4A4 Howl
Price: $26,000
The M4A4 Howl is the only skin officially labeled as Contraband, with Valve removing the skin from the game once it was discovered that the art was stolen from the original designer. Though you can no longer obtain the Howl, thousands were made available before it was pulled, making it obtainable if you’ve got several thousand dollars to spare.
CSFloat recorded a sale for a StatTrak Factory New Howl, equipped with three rare stickers, that went for $26,000. This specific Howl skin has a float value of 0.009, meaning it features next to no blemishes. If you don’t mind dealing with a field-tested weapon, you can pick up a Howl for as low as $4,300.
There’s a good chance the only thing holding this skin from being more valuable is the fact that it’s for the M4A4 – the M4A1-S is the more popular variant of the assault rifle among high-level players.
Sports Gloves Vice
Price: $23,000
Compared to the Sports Gloves Pandora’s Box, the market value of the Vice gloves dropped significantly following the launch of CS2. While some skins rose in value, Sports Gloves Vice fell as the community seemed to think they looked worse in the new engine. Despite the visual changes, a pair of these gloves sold for $23,000 back in May 2024, and they regularly sell for over $9,000 these days.
AK-47 Wild Lotus
Price: $22,800
First made available in The St. Marc Collection during Operation Shattered Web in 2019, the AK-47 Wild Lotus was one of the standout skins in the set. These skins regularly fetch over $20,000, and we spotted one that sold on CSFloat that went for $22,800, though this one included four foil Crown stickers, which bumped up the price. Battle-Scarred AK-47 Wild Lotus skins can be nabbed for as little as $4,500.
Karambit Case Hardened
Price: $21,000
Another Case Hardened skin, with the sales figures recently reported by CSFloat as having a record high sale of $21,000 in February 2026 for a Karambit skin with a Tier 1 pattern. Karambit knives are one of the most expensive types in the game, and when combined with a rare Case Hardened pattern, the prices can soar to astronomical levels.
Mark ‘ohnePixel’ Zimmermann, a popular CS streamer, published a video back in September 2021 titled ‘$1.5 Million Blue Gem’ in which he tries to broker a deal for potentially the most expensive skin in the world. When offered Bitcoin, which was valued at over $1,500,000 at the time, the owner of the knife turned it down, saying that they were “not interested.” Some might argue that may have been a mistake, as that same Bitcoin is worth almost double that in 2026.
AWP Gungnir
Price: $14,000
The AWP Gungnir may not be as widely recognizable compared to the Dragon Lore, but it certainly commands a hefty price tag like its older sibling. In 2025, a Factory New AWP Gungnir, equipped with four holographic Team Digitas stickers from the Cologne 2014 major and a float of 0.011 sold for $14,000 on Skinport.
The Gungnir really benefitted from the visual upgrades in CS2, increasing its popularity and value when players first saw this skin in the new engine. Battle-Scarred versions of the Gungnir have been listed for just over $7,500, with the pattern surrounding the muzzle and scope darkening as the skin quality degrades.
