Crimson Desert players have been complaining that main man Kliff’s pockets aren’t deep enough to carry all the miscellaneous shiny jiggys littering the game’s massive open world, so Pearl Abyss has rolled another goodie out of its patch conveyor belt, this time increasing storage to up to 1,000 slots.
Crimson Desert patch 1.02.00 plopped along earlier today – following yesterday’s similarly sizeable patch… see, it’s an assembly line – and it’s live on all systems bar Mac, though that’s in-progress too.
The update’s headlining feature is that “the capacity of your private storage can now be increased from 240 slots up to a maximum of 1000 slots” depending on how thoroughly you’ve upgraded the Greymane camp. Pearl Abyss is dolling out about a 100 storage slots per camp expansion until you reach the fifth and final stage of the camp, at which point you’ll get a further 360 slots.

Just yesterday, we reported on increasingly loud complaints from Crimson Deserters who didn’t have any space to chuck the numerous swords, rocks, bugs, and other trinkets that fall into your lap absolutely everywhere in the fantasy world. Some even resorted to feeding Kliff insects to make space, the poor man, but Pearl Abyss seemingly worked fast to end his suffering.
As expected, the patch is also stuffed with bug fixes but there’s some more exciting additions hidden in Pearl Abyss’ new patch notes. There’s now a couple options available to hide your character’s headgear permanently, outside of combat or just in cutscenes. Players can also decide to toggle the movement controls back to how they were at launch, if you enjoyed its more divisive iteration.
And, finally, the most urgent addition of them all: “Added 1 new armor set and helmet for cats.” Loafy enjoyers are probably chuffed right now.
Crimson Desert is still the best-selling new game on Steam after 2 weeks, and its user reviews have jumped to 85% positive as more players get past the weak opening
