Uh oh – it appears, in making some changes to Warlocks in Diablo 4, Blizzard’s managed to break the class to a pretty drastic extent. A particular combination of equipment will make you practically unstoppable, by way of enabling you to one-shot much of what comes your way, even in a high-ranking dungeon.
There are four aspects to this intersection of pain. You have Command Fallen and Command Ae’grom, then the Paingorger’s Gauntlets, Oikos-Hewer of Mutilation, and the Evisceration Fragment. As of the last patch, having these together lets you just run through many of the RPGs enemies with ease – particularly Elites, due to the Rampage skill.

Put this all together, and you’ll get damage scaling to the point of just mutilating anything that steps in your way. This makes Level 150 of the Pit of Artificers, the peak of the whole gauntlet, a bit of a breeze by normal standards.
What’s slightly troubling is that it’s not hard to figure out this setup, as wudijo points out it was his normal build, plus the Mutilation and Evisceration fragments. Minor tweaks on their face that change the whole complexion of the game.
He reckons there’ll be a hotfix for this soon, and I’d agree. It skews all the demon-slaying to a pretty drastic degree. If you want to get some kicks from it, boot up Diablo 4 as soon as possible.
Blizzard was working on Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred before the base RPG even launched, and that’s why some of its biggest features were “deployed early.”
