Infinity Ward has been watching the rise of extraction shooters, like Arc Raiders and Marathon, as it put together its own version of the genre in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode.Multiplayer creative director Joe Cecot tells Xbox Wire that the team has been “paying attention to the genre,” playing popular games to find out “what’s clicking with players, what feels good, what doesn’t feel good.”Cecot specifically says that the beta for DMZ lacked “meaningful player growth,” which happens to be a major part of Arc Raiders’ appeal.
