STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is getting its first proper expansion this year, titled Cost of Hope, and it looks stuffed to its icky mutant gills with classic STALKER series beats that the base game – while a powerfully engrossing survival FPS – missed out on. The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant returns as an explorable, doubtless horrible addition to the game’s open world, and the story concerns the conflict between the rival Freedom and Duty factions that’s been simmering since the original STALKER.

Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream finally has a demo available, and it’s making people ask some tough questions.Living The Dream is a surprisingly locked-down game in regards to media sharing, and that’s probably because it can be a bit risqué. There are no filters in the game, allowing the Mii characters to say basically anything you want, and they’ll improvise too. While the game isn’t rude by itself, in the hands of the right player, it certainly can be.As a result, online sharing features are limited, and that includes custom Mii characters. A new Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix is here, ironing out a few issues – including “several crashes” – that Larian may have accidentally introduced in its previous update, essentially turning the whole situation into a game of bug fix whack-a-mole.In the latest patch notes on its site for hotfix 36, Larian admits: “Our last small update, which aimed to resolve corrupted savegames affecting a number of players, seemed to have also introduced some performance issues that triggered crashes.”Seemingly, that’d be from the update that rolled out last month, so it’s not been too long of a wait. Even so, Larian…

I have two dreams as mayor of an island town in Nova Roma, the new early access city-building game from Lion Shield and Hooded Horse. One is to erect a fantastic water network for my people – a sturdy yet poetic lattice of aqueducts, following their deft gradations down from the mountain rivers to cisterns gracefully spaced amid the insulae, forums, circuses and temples. In my reborn Rome, no populous bathhouse, tinkling fountain, or humble latrine shall ever run dry. With my other hand, I shall raise mighty dams, diverting the rivers away from my walls to avoid flooding…
