Don't expect rapid 007 First Light sequels, former Destiny 2 boss says, as they'd likely "review worse," "sell worse," and still be very expensive to make
Former Destiny 2 vice president Mark Noseworthy has commented on why a two-year dev cycle between 007: First Light sequels probably wouldn’t work.A Twitter user posted a graphic outlining their hopes for 007 First Light as a series, comparing it to Naughty Dog’s titles: the original Uncharted trilogy was released within six years, whereas The Last of Us took seven years to get a sequel. They propose that “I literally want the the [sic] same graphics, same engine, same combat, and the same mechanics as the first game.” They add, “Use the tools that you’ve spent ~5 years building and…
Crimson Desert's forgettable story will undergo tweaks to "strengthen the narrative flow" in the coming months, as Pearl Abyss tease proper DLC
Crimson Desert developers Pearl Abyss have outlined the tweaks they plan to make to their very wide open world game between June and September, as part of continued and relentless efforts to morph it into a shape which can please everybody. Notably, they say they’ll be acting on feedback about Red Pudding’s rather forgettable story with some changes designed to “strengthen the narrative flow” and stop people falling asleep mid-cutscene. They’ve also teased some more substantial DLC coming further down the line.
Overwatch Game Director Aaron Keller has confirmed that the 2026 10th Anniversary event has been extended through until the end of Season 2, while also announcing changes to the number of challenges required to earn the Table Flip title reward. The tweaks come as a response to major backlash over the time it took to unlock the title, with many unaware of the sheer grind until it was too late. Overwatch’s 10th Anniversary event kicked off on May 12 and was scheduled to run until today, Tuesday, June 2. During this time, players were tasked with completing 48 challenges to…

This DDR5 RAM at Computex has integrated fans, but it'll come as no surprise that you can't buy it yet
If you’ve been keeping up with Computex news, you may have already heard that Cooler Master and G.Skill have teamed up to produce DDR5 RAM that has integrated fans built straight into the memory modules. I have to admit I figured it was a classic Computex gimmick, when I first heard about this. After seeing it in action on today’s show floor, however, I can officially confirm this best RAM for gaming contender is no joke.I watched as my Cooler Master booth tour guide aimed a small smoke machine at the RAM’s fans, and while operating almost silently, it managed…
After a week of playing on nothing but Panther Lake laptops, it's safe to say that Intel has its gaming mojo back
Intel have had a bit of a wild ride as of late. In many ways, the past two years have been some of the roughest in the company’s history: a massive, multi-billion dollar quarterly loss back in 2024 was enough to cost then-Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger his job, and their flagship Core Ultra 200S desktop chips have fallen flat in games, ceding even more ground to archrival AMD. There are still some bright spots, however. After the relative success of Intel’s Lunar Lake laptop processors in 2024, their successor family of Panther Lake CPUs – or to use the official…
Guild Wars 3 rumors swirl after cryptic ArenaNet posts: "Big things in the games industry are brewing"
A fresh social post shared by the official accounts for both Guild Wars games has caused quite the stir, as it looks like developer ArenaNet is gearing up for a very special announcement at Summer Game Fest. I’m not going to say Guild Wars 3’s on the way, but the signs are certainly looking promising. “The wind stirs. The world shifts. Stand ready.” The description tied to an animated art short over on X certainly has an air of grandeur to it. If I’m reading into it from a ‘this is Guild Wars 3’ lens, as many online have, then…

New Final Fantasy 14 patch finally lets players devour a taco, and all I need you to know is that means a lot to the MMO's community
Final Fantasy 14 fans, the moment has arrived – Patch 7.51 is here, and with it, we’ve got a brand-new Kefka-themed Ultimate raid… and a, um, taco-eating emote? That’s right. While we wait for Evercold to arrive in January 2027, our Warriors of Light can enjoy some fresh, hot tacos in-game, much like G’raha Tia did in the ever-iconic Dawntrail trailer back in 2024. As per the official patch notes from Square Enix, 7.51 brings some new emotes to the MMO – and one of those involves your WoL happily eating a taco, because how else would one eat a taco?…
Former Forza Horizon devs reveal Clutch, an open-world racer that blends classic battles for first place with the gadget-infused spectacle of action movie car chases
Maverick Games, the studio helmed by Forza Horizon 5 creative director Mike Brown, have revealed the story-led open-world driving game they’ve had in the works for a few years now and that’s no longer being published by Amazon. It’s called Clutch, and blends traditional Horizon-style road and street racing with a story that works in some action movie-esque chases with the police.
