What to watch before Maul – Shadow Lord: 16 essential Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels episodes
Looking for what to watch before Maul – Shadow Lord? Then look no further, young Padawan, because we have you covered. The animated side of Star Wars is a sprawling epic at this point, and, with seven seasons of The Clone Wars and four seasons of Star Wars Rebels to sift through, you might be a tad confused about where to begin if you want to catch up on Darth Maul’s story ahead of Maul – Shadow Lord. In The Clone Wars, Maul made his grand re-entrance after seemingly being killed in The Phantom Menace, while Rebels picks up after Shadow…
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is the latest in a long series of games to admit to using generative AI in the development process. In defense of developer Owlcat, at least it’s being up front about it, even if people are still angry about its use of the divisive technology. Earlier this week, Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss apologized for AI assets “unintentionally included” in the game’s final release. It’s a tale as old as Midjourney, as games like The Alters and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have also used the oops-it-wasn’t-meant-to-ship excuse when caught. Ladies and gentleman, this is why placeholder…
Saros' world-altering eclipse "has both a gameplay and narrative purpose" its game designer tells me, and it's already pulling me back into this roguelike
Saros sees Soltari Enforcer, Arjun Devraj, fighting through alien planet Carcosa to find out what happened to a lost colony, but its deadly wildlife isn’t the only thing that puts him through his paces. The world itself is dangerous. Arjun’s expeditions put him out of sync with how time flows for his crewmates at operating base, The Passage. Each roguelike-style run also sees the planet’s environments twist into new layouts. The planet’s frequent, strange Eclipses, too, increase Arjun’s ability to power-up, all while also adding greater risk to each expedition. The result is that Carcosa as a planet feels not only…
Looking for new Reawakened codes for Roblox? If you’re up for playing a punishing action-RPG set in the Solo Leveling universe, this could very well be the one. Though it’s still in the public playtest phase with character wipes looking likely, you can still redeem a couple of codes to power through the early stages. Just don’t go thinking they’ll bail you out of a bad situation. Long before you can redeem Reawakened codes on Roblox, you need to literally crawl your way through the opening cutscene. Fail to get the rhythm right, and you’ll be booted out of the…
The Stanley Parable creator and Minecraft composer's indie studio is shutting down after one cozy sim because "it's a particularly tough time for raising game funds"
Ivy Road – the independent game maker headed by The Stanley Parable’s creator, a prominent Gone Home developer, and Minecraft’s original composer – is sadly shutting down.”Ivy Road is closing its doors as of March 31st, 2026,” the studio writes in what is likely the last ever blog post on its website. Ivy Road had been early in development on a new project called Engine Angel, which looked like a kickass vehicular combat game, but “unfortunately the funding didn’t come to fruition and the studio had to shut down””While we tried to shop the concept around and find a publishing…
Should Japanese game devs focus on a Japanese style? Nioh 3 leads say it's "one of our strengths," but blindly "sticking with that Japanese style isn't good" on its own
Nioh 3, a samurai action RPG about fighting demons in fantasy Japan, is one of the most Japanese games you’ll ever play – a bag of historical fiction steeped in folklore and expressed through art styles spanning centuries. (It’s also quite good, per our Nioh 3 review.) Two of its lead creators, producer Kohei Shibata and Team Ninja studio head Fumihiko Yasuda, examine its Japanese DNA in an interview with GamesRadar+, and tackle a question that more game developers working in Japan have publicly confronted recently: should Japanese games double down on what makes them unique, or more strongly pursue…
PUBG: Blindspot was looking set to be the twist on the formula that finally hooked me into the PlayerUnknown extended universe, but now it won’t get the chance. Arc Team and Krafton’s PUBG Corporation have announced that the top-down, tactical shooter spinoff of battle royale titan PUBG: Battlegrounds will be closing in just a few days. Despite the initial launch earning itself a mostly positive reception from players during its opening months, the developer says it is “no longer able to sustainably provide the level of experience we set out to deliver through Early Access.” PUBG: Blindspot hit early access…
New Steam update finally addresses huge disparity in regional prices between countries "to help developers price games in 35 currencies and 4 region groups worldwide"
A new Steam update aims to help developers more accurately price their games in worldwide currencies, hopefully getting rid of the sometimes huge disparities between game costs in the US and abroad.Valve was previously in hot water after players increasingly started to realize that games were sometimes 20-30% more expensive in countries such as Poland or Argentina than in the United States due to Steam’s wonky regional pricing system. The backlash prompted several developers, including Arc Raiders’ Embark Studios and JRPG studio Nihon Falcom, to manually go back and adjust prices for local currencies. But Valve’s making some big changes…
Valve has rolled out new Steam pricing conversion tools, and while they’re aimed at developers and publishers, it could mean the amount you pay for existing or upcoming PC games changes moving forward. The update is designed “to better reflect current market conditions around the world.” It offers two extra methods for devs to figure out the best price for their games, based on exchange rates and local purchasing power. Gaming is an expensive hobby, increasingly so in 2026. With hardware costs skyrocketing, PC gamers are left with even less spare change to spend on what we actually play. Those…
It’s the weekend and we’ve picked out three terrific TV shows for you to get lost in. If you’re planning a quiet few days at home then any one of these three shows will keep you amused and entertained.Bait leads our selection this week. The new comedy, which stars Riz Ahmed, is one of our most anticipated new shows and it does not disappoint. It’s backed up by all seven seasons of classic ’00s thriller series The Shield, and the lesser known but still good Arthurian adventure The Winter King.If that’s not enough viewing suggestions, then make sure to also…
