Even the cosiest of cosy games can have melancholy openings. In Stardew Valley, for instance, your elderly grandfather passes away, bequeathing you his rundown farm. In Moonglow Bay, you set about restoring a town after your partner is lost at sea. And in Willowbrooke Post you take over the family mailroom after your parents’ sudden, unexplained departure. Still, Crop, the new farming game from 11 Bit Studios and Carbonara Games might take first place, considering you turn up at your new farm stripped naked and in the boot of a car.

Nintendo has confirmed after over a year of silence that Rhythm Heaven Groove will finally be released on July 2, 2026.Back at the March 2025 Nintendo Direct – which aired a week before the big Nintendo Switch 2 reveal Direct – Nintendo finally announced that two long-suffering fandoms would finally be getting sequels. First was Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which since then has had an appearance in the September Nintendo Direct, its own dedicated Direct, a demo, and a release date later this month. The other – and more important – announcement was that Rhythm Heaven (or Rhythm Paradise…
Fortnite has always been about large-scale fights on big maps. 100 people drop into anywhere from Tilted Towers to Risky Reels and fight to be the last one standing. The idea of 1v1’ing a friend on a small map is something reserved for the old Call of Duty games, but it’s coming to Fortnite today in the shape of a competitive mode called Arenas. The battle royale game’s new mode sees 16 players, either as eight teams of two or 16 solos, fight in small arena maps to rack up points. The first solo to 20 wins, or the first…

The good news is that the ordinary black version with the Banjo-Kazooie collection is still available, and GameStop is even throwing in a slip case for good measure.Ahead of the October launch, you can grab the Evercade Nexus for $199.99 at GameStop or directly at Blaze’s Funstock…
Riot Games has unveiled its bold new vision for the Valorant Champions Tour in 2027, and it looks like the developer-publisher has looked to the past for inspiration. The new format will throw the doors open to teams across the globe once more, removing the current league system in favor of a good ol’ fashioned regional free-for-all to decide who gets to go to Masters, and subsequently Champions. “Everything is a tournament” now, and the stakes have never been higher. Under the proposed format, the Valorant Champions Tour will move back to something similar to the open qualifier format utilized…
