Faces of Death is shaping up to be the scariest movie of 2026, as new film stills look like The Poughkeepsie Tapes meets Manhunter
As if the previous trailers weren’t upsetting enough, a new batch of creepy stills from Faces of Death has arrived. The images, which were first shared by BloodyDisgusting, give us another look at those freaky mannequins… but I’m mostly focused on Dacre Montgomery’s pantyhose mask, which reminds me a whole lot of the late Tom Noonan’s killer in Michael Man’s 1986 thriller Manhunter. There’s also another mask that feels straight out of the Poughkeepsie Tapes… You can check out the new photos below. The upcoming film isn’t necessarily a reboot of the Faces of Death movies, which are mondo horror films that…
Well, the time has finally come. After releasing almost a decade ago, The Long Dark finally wraps things up today with today’s release of Wintermute’s fifth and final episode, The Light at the End of All Things. It’s been a long time coming (the free episode update was originally slated for the end of 2025), but it marks the end of a tough, cold journey. Sorry, what’s that? It’s “not the end, but also an end”? Oh, my mistake! Earlier this week, over on LinkedIn, Hinterland CEO Raphael van Lierop said that with the release of The Long…
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 translator claims they have been "replaced with AI"; Warhorse says they "deeply value the people who shape our work"
March 31: Added comment from Warhorse Studios. A translator and localizer who worked on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for four years claims they have been let go by developer Warhorse Studios and “replaced with AI.” The employee, who was mostly involved in the Czech to English translation for the vast RPG, states that they were called to a meeting “with no forewarning” and told that their position would become “obsolete,” with a push towards using AI for future development. Reddit user ThousandDemons’ names themselves as “Max H,” and has been verified by a moderator of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2…

Arc Raiders players shocked by Legendary loot showing up in their Scrappy inbox after Flashpoint update: "Did Scrappy take down a Matriarch!?"
The big Arc Raiders Flashpoint update is finally out, and as is often the case, many players are more enamored with quality-of-life changes than the big new content, which is quite substantial in its own right between new Arc, resource projects, weapons, and map conditions. Lovable, resource-collecting rooster Scrappy may be the biggest winner of the patch, as he’s gone from scavenging bits of plastic and metal to occasionally sourcing once-exclusive, Legendary-grade Arc reactors.Flashpoint added a new feeding queue that lets you supercharge Scrappy’s resources by giving him fruit, mushrooms, olives, agave, and crafted fruit mix. Previously, once you’d upgraded…
Indirectly build your empire by paying heroes to do the work you don't want to in the RTS city-builder Crown of Greed, out today
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Or, so the saying goes, but I’m pretty sure the ham sandwich I had at my friend’s house when I was seven didn’t cost me a penny. Still, in Crown of Greed, a fantasy real-time strategy game inspired by the likes of Majesty, the old adage certainly holds true. And with its release today, it can even be put into the test! Much like Majesty before it, in Crown of Greed you are the ruler of a land dubbed Rodovia. The only problem is that no one is really…
The latest season of Fortnite OG begins on April 1, bringing Chapter 1 Season 8 to the game. Over the course of the current season, earthquakes have been happening across the map, with cracks appearing on the surface in various places. Now, however, just hours before the map changes, the earthquakes have been knocking down the buildings in Titled Towers. While the cracks are easy to find, having already decimated other parts of the battle royale game’s map, the effects are only now reaching the more populated areas of the Fortnite landscape. When the tremors happen where the buildings are…

Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen devs found that "the programming sucks" in the original RPGs, but needed Nintendo's help on the remakes because they "hadn't gotten any better at programming since then"
Pokemon games are often criticized for their poor technical states these days, but the lack of refinement goes back to the series’ heyday. When remaking the OG Game Boy titles for the GBA, the devs at Game Freak had a rough time revisiting their previous work in part because the programming was so bad. That’s according to a 2004 issue of Nintendo Dream magazine, which included an interview with director Junichi Masuda, lead planner Koji Nishino, lead programmer Tetsuya Watanabe, and graphics lead Takao Uno. That interview has recently been translated as part of a new DidYouKnowGaming video, offering some rare…
If you’re looking to fit in a break from social media discourse in the near future, it’s looking like May is going to be a good time for it. That’s because ZA/UM’s followup to Disco Elysium, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, is launching around then. And what better a game to post about than one which has a studio embroiled in a whole heap of mess. Zero Parades is very specifically launching on May 21st, so you’ve got almost two solid months to prepare yourself for the serial posting that is sure to take place around then. GameSpot…
