After Cyberpunk 2077 came to Switch 2 uncensored, Dispatch dev thought it "would be allowed to do the same" and is now "working with Nintendo on a path forward"
Superhero workplace dramedy Dispatch, from the former TellTale developers at Adhoc Studios, has caught flack for launching on Switch and Switch 2 with mandatory censorship not present in other versions of the adventure game. But the devs have now responded, claiming that they’re looking to address some of the censorship with Nintendo’s help and they too thought they would’ve been able to get away with what CD Projekt Red has. While some early buyers have been getting refunds on the port, Adhoc explained that it’s been so quiet since launch “because we’ve been trying to make sure we’re being good partners…
You know, I’m surprised that EA has never made a Sims reality show where contestants have to act out odd, Simish challenges on a Truman Show-esque production lot, given how much the games themselves feel like simulators for the trashiest (said lovingly) TV show genre. In the meantime, while it isn’t at all themed reality shows, The Sims 4’s next expansion, Royalty & Legacy, seems like a perfect fit for a fictitious one of your own making. A new gameplay trailer showed off how the packs dynasty system works, which is very much about family values. Starting your…
Ubisoft promises "important changes" to Rainbow Six Siege X including Secure Boot as holiday cyberattack fallout lingers
Rainbow Six Siege X developer Ubisoft promises that it’s implementing “important changes across our account security, anti-cheat, and anti-toxicity systems” as it heads into Year 11 of the tactical multiplayer game. As cleanup from the recent cyberattacks continues, the developer cautions that the R6SX marketplace is likely to remain out of action for “several months.” Among the plans for 2026 is the implementation of official mouse-and-keyboard support for console players, and an initial rollout of Secure Boot for its new “highly competitive playlist,” Top of the Ladder. The Rainbow Six Siege X team confirms it has restored lost inventories resulting…

RuneScape: Dragonwilds's next big update ups the level cap to 99, even though it's literally pointless right now
RuneScape: Dragonwilds just held its 2026 summit this week, and with it came a bevy of details about future updates and plans for the survival game. Oh what joy for you scaper or runes! The main thing that got a look-in was the game’s next big update, Dowdun Reach: Madness of Zamorak, which certainly has an air of someone looking at any section of a given Dark Souls and thinking “yeah, I want a fortress like that.” This update comes following some feedback the devs received over a desire to see more locales with interiors and buildings to fight…

2026 has barely even begun, and my gaming backlog is already the stuff of nightmares. Having too much to play isn’t the worst problem to have in the world right now, but just one glance at Amazon Woot’s gaming deals, and I can already foresee it getting a lot worse. The retailer has dropped the prices of a boat-load of Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X games, including Silent Hill f on the PS5, which is down to just $44.99 (was $69.99), it’s lowest ever price so far. If you’re more of a Nintendo fan, there’s plenty to pick here,…
While the jury's still out on it, Highguard gets a temporary new mode that ups the headcount in matches
I’m sure there’s been many a Dweet and forum post about Highguard is already a dead game or some such silly thing to say about a game that’s not even a week old, but it does at least seem like developer Wildlight is paying attention to some of the more constructive bits of criticism about the game. Namely, that many aren’t fond of the shooter’s 3v3 Raids simply because it feels like there aren’t enough people for such large maps. So in turn, there’s already an update adding in an experimental new raid mode. Quite simply, as opposed…
The Outer Rim is your highway in Star Wars Galactic Racer, but it's more than Burnout in space: "You can’t make a Star Wars racing experience and not have Podracing"
Announced at The Game Awards 2025, Star Wars Galactic Racer looks like a high-octane racer that many of us didn’t know we needed. Set against the backdrop of the Outer Rim, renowned as the most dangerous place in the Star Wars universe, Galactic Racers aims to fill a very particular niche in the landscape of racing games – and its developer has a track record of delivering the goods.”We believe this style of high speed, intense, aggressive, track-based arcade racing hasn’t been fully served for modern HD gamers,” Fuse Games CEO and co-founder Matt Webster tells GamesRadar+. He should know:…
After joking about buying Amazon MMO New World, Rust boss says to "keep hope" as he signs NDA with an "unnamed company"
A new statement from the head of Rust developer Facepunch Studios has once again sparked hopes that canceled Amazon MMO New World could have a route to salvation. After jokingly making an offer for the rights to the MMORPG, Alistair McFarlane has now revealed that he’s signing a non-disclosure agreement with an “unnamed company” and won’t be talking about “anything related” to the party in question for the foreseeable future. New World players are convinced their game is the most likely possible candidate, although McFarlane cautions that it’s “just conversations” and that people should “have low expectations” for now. McFarlane…
