Video game production is a big, expensive process that now tends to involve a bunch of people working across a whole lot of different studios. According to Stephanie Arnette, who serves as senior external development manager on Fortnite, AI isn’t coming to kill jobs, whether that be at Epic itself or for its co-development partners.”Epic has been exploring different AI tooling that we can use to help support our games,” Arnette said at a recent Gamescom Latam panel attended by GamesRadar+. “I know everyone’s biggest fear is, ‘Oh my god, AI is going to take all our jobs.’ That’s not…

When I was packing my bags for a recent international flight, I was bummed to find out the Switch 2 has no official YouTube app. I know it took a while for the original Switch to get YouTube support, but surely, I had assumed for months, those sort of licensing snags would’ve long been sorted out by the time the successor launched. Nope, I was forced to download the entire Binging With Babish Cook Along series to my old work laptop like some sort of terribly uncool middle manager, and very unlike the cool, mysterious, GamesRadar+ staff writer that I…

I’d argue it’s always a good time to be a World of Darkness fan, but 2026 and 2027 are looking good. We’ve got Hunter: The Reckoning – Deathwish; the first virtual Hunter RPG since 2002’s iconic hack and slasher. Then, we’ve got Vampire: The Masquerade – Oaths and Ashes, a visual novel-style adventure set in the Berlin By Night universe. Now, we’ve got Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn, a top-down action game from crea-ture Studios, the creators of Session: Skate Sim. Now all we need is a Mage: The Ascension game to round it out. Viewed from the top down, Diablo…

Okay, look, I get why everyone’s excited for Star Fox on Switch 2. For the record, I’m hyped to jump back in an Arwing too, but unlike most other players, the original Star Fox 64, or Lylat Wars as it’s known where I’m from, never left my household. Yes, my OG N64 has remained a part of my setup for over 30 years, and I don’t think it’s too late for you to try the ’90s mission before the remake lands.I’m a big believer in keeping all the best retro consoles from yesteryear alive, and that naturally includes the N64.…

The Doormaker is dead. Mega Crit’s new Slay the Spire 2 update has just landed on the beta branch, and the developer has finally made the decision to put its most divisive enemy to bed and start fresh with a completely new creation. These latest StS 2 patch notes also introduce the first incarnation of the Bestiary, and a fresh helping of balance changes for the roguelike deckbuilder, led by some fairly notable Defect buffs. Doormaker has already been through multiple reworks since Slay the Spire 2 launched. His most recent form required careful counterplay, and while that could be…

Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to fill your inventory with bones and, if you’d like, you can sell the organic scrap for gold. Or, as one of the RPG’s players thought was best, you can just keep collecting bones.”I always collect every bone,” Reddit user Vuthakral shares in a thread with nearly 2,000 upvotes as of writing. According to an accompanying screenshot, just their “most recent playthrough’s haul” contains 189 common leg or arm bones, 47 complete human skulls, 19 skulls missing their lower jaw, seven ribcages, and one puddle of miscellaneous little bones. One comment says, “Hey, so my…

Yesterday was a momentous day for Valorant, as Riot Games confirmed it would finally be making changes to Neon. Everyone cheered, happy tears were shed, and the world finally began to heal. Okay, that’s my headcanon, but the news was nonetheless very good. Now, the studio has lifted the lid on how said tweaks will materialize, and it looks like it isn’t only Neon herself that’s being tuned down. Shotguns have been a key component in the Neon-equals-busted equation, and they haven’t gotten off scot-free. As shared by Valorant Lead Agent Designer Dan ‘penguin’ Hardison and Agents & Live Product…

Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead is hard at work on improvements to both the shooter itself and its transparency with players, just as current creative lead Johan Pilestedt promised it would in a grisly Reddit AMA session at the end of April. At the time, Pilestedt told players disappointed with what they felt was infrequent communication from Arrowhead that the team would begin checking in “once every other week” – and the developer has now clocked in right on time with its new “Transmission from Super Earth Command” posted on Steam May 8.Reinforcing Pilestedt’s promise, Arrowhead writes in its update, “Helldivers 2…

Many are those who stray before Vlad the Impaler seeking eternal life as a vampire. Poor, ignorant cattle! Immortality is a goblet of ashes, a bouquet of thorns, an endless stairway among the fading portraits of bygone loves. Besides, you have to solve a bunch of alchemy puzzles first, and if I’m interpreting the announcement materials for Dracula: The Disciple correctly, you might only get halfway there and transform into a normal dude with a gross undead hand.
