Deus Ex, Saints Row and TimeSplitters might be lent out to external partners, Embracer say, possibly paving the way for new entries
Embracer Group are threatening folks with a good time. Fresh off splitting themselves into a not at all confusing selection of companies rather than just the one (something they’ve got form for doing) the publishers have noted that as part of forming a new IP & licensing business, they’ll be “more actively” exploring licensing out well-known series like Deus Ex, Saints Row, TimeSplitters, and Thief to external partners. In theory, that could mean new games in said series made by studios that aren’t directly under Embracer’s thumb.
Nvidia has just released a security bulletin for its GPU drivers that identifies a number of potentially vulnerable versions, recommending that users update to the latest version immediately. The Nvidia driver issues affect GeForce gaming GPUs, Quadro workstation GPUs, and Tesla server GPUs. For Windows gamers, if the driver for your Nvidia GPU is newer than version 596.36, you’re already safe from these issues, but if you’re running an older driver than this, you should update. That applies whether you’re running an old Nvidia graphics card or one of the latest and best graphics card options around. To get the…

The rumours were true, Warhorse are making an open-world Lord of the Rings RPG alongside a new Kingdom Come game
If you’ve been hanging on tenterhooks since May 1st, when Edwin reported on the rumours that Warhorse, the developers of medieval sandbox Kingdom Come Deliverance, were working on a Lord of the Rings RPG, then, firstly, that must have been very sore, sorry about that, but, secondly, the rumours were true. You may climb down from those hooks: Warhorse have confirmed they are creating an open-world RPG set across Tolkien’s Middle-earth. Not only that, the studio announced they are also making a new Kingdom Come game at the same time. Used a phrase laced with ambiguity, they called it a…
Valve has moved to dismiss a lawsuit brought by the Attorney General of New York, which alleges that the sale of Cases in Counter-Strike 2 is promoting unregulated gambling to underage gamers. In a filing on May 18, Valve argued that it would be a “slippery slope” if they were punished, claiming that a decision against them could open the door to similar litigation against baseball cards, Labubus, and more. In Counter-Strike 2, players can spend money to open Cases, which each contain CS2 skins for guns. These can then be used in-game to show off your own personal style,…

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 developer Warhorse Studios is indeed now working on a new open-world Lord of the Rings RPG, confirming what many fans hoped to be true following reports.I’ve been yearning for a good game set in Middle-earth for years now, with the last one I can remember playing being on the PlayStation 2 (unless we count the darling little LEGO entries in between, of course). Sadly, various projects – I’m looking at you, Amazon – have popped up only to then face cancellation, leaving us Tolkien stans with naught. Well, thankfully, an RPG icon of a studio has…
