Exploits and glitches are inevitable in any game, and Arc Raiders may have another doozy of a duplication problem on its hands. Players of the extraction shooter have been taking out other raiders to find they were holding onto tons of replica blueprints, offering mounting evidence that people have figured out how to duplicate loot.
Enter exhibit A, from the game’s subreddit: someone was killed with 22 Tempest blueprints in their possession. No signs of how they did it, but the comments all believe some form of foul play. In another instance, a raider was killed holding 17 of one blueprint.

“No wonder he got killed, you could probably hear him squeak all the way from Speranza,” one Redditor amusingly points out on the duck hoarder. Jokes aside, there’s a lot of concern for the infrastructure here. Progression starts to seem meaningless if you can just jump ahead.
“If this becomes common, it’s going to ruin the experience for everyone,” comments a concerned player. There are a couple of theories as to how this particular duplication trick is being done, but I won’t summarise or repeat them. Honestly, they seemed quite convoluted for the potential rewards. At some point, just playing properly is the path of least resistance as well as the fairest one.
Embark squashed out two similar issues earlier this month. In all likelihood, the team can already see what’s being done on a player-facing level, and are just trying to suss out exactly how to fix it. In other words, don’t get too used to having all those rare ducks in your backpack.
