The Baldur’s Gate 3 camp holds a secret: in fact, it holds four secrets, each of them completely invisible but nonetheless shaped exactly like a completely nude Gale. There are four nude clones of the wizard hiding in your camp every time you play, and one fan has gone to extensive lengths to explain why.
These naked Gales were accidentally discovered by YouTuber Proxy Gate Tactician back in January, but it was much more recently that fellow content creator SlimX broke down why they’re there in a new video (spotted by PC Gamer). In short? They’re waiting there just in case you someday decide to have sex with Gale.

After the end of Act 2, the devs assumed that you’d never be able to go back to previous areas – so the game deletes the portions of your save file related to the state of the first two major areas. That means that all the off-stage characters and objects revert to their default state of on-stage. As SlimX reveals, you can prevent the cutscene that starts the Githyanki attack that transitions you to Act 3 from starting, take a couple of extra long rests, and find yourself able to fast travel back to old areas with the off-stage characters all suddenly back in the world.
So what’s with the four naked Gales – and, also, the other nude guy that seems to be hanging out with them? Well, one of them is just there to stand in for Gale’s mirror image, appearing with the character’s normal gear when it’s relevant. The other three are there for that romance scene where Gale takes you to a world of illusions.
“Those two astral projections that float up into the sky” during the scene, SlimX explains, “are one of the other Gales and that random bald guy transformed to look like your avatar. Those last two Gale copies appear and get in on the action later in the scene. And they’re all hiding right here in your camp every time you play.”
