To parry in Resident Evil Requiem, you need to press L1/LB/SPACE BAR just before the enemy’s attack connects with you. On a successful parry, Leon shoves the enemy away, blocking the attack and creating an opportunity to use the axe to deliver a deadly blow.
You must make sure your axe is kept sharp, otherwise you won’t be able to attack while the enemy is down, and a missed parry can lead to the enemy taking a mean bite out of you.
