Robots are trying to twist the message of Helldivers 2 into something that’s anti-liberty. Nonsense, right? Freedom and democracy are the whole point! The mechanical menaces have even gone as far as recreating the intro to make Super Earth’s forces look bad and hacking into the official social media channels to spread these lies.
Thankfully, dedicated players are seeing right through this deception. Across the multiplayer shooter’s community, people are rejecting claims we might be the baddies. “They’re making baseless propaganda now!” says a Reddit thread on the subject. I mean, any such claim is an absolute fabrication designed to stifle the democratic process.
THEY’RE MAKING BASELESS PROPAGANDA NOW!!!! from r/Helldivers
We do share some similarities, in that there are factories specifically for turning older or less useful people into other resources. But our version is more humane and rewarding. “Difference here is that they voluntarily go into the grinder as they accept that they can no longer play their role for democracy,” a Redditor explains.
“Every soul that volunteers gets a free ride on a Super Destroyer and a personal salute from General Brash before they go off to play their part one last time.”
They’re totally different experiences, really. In our case, it’s all clearly for the greater good of the galaxy, and if you’re not an ally in such endeavours, then you’re an enemy. You’re free to ask what happens to anything that stands in Super Earth’s way; spoilers, it’s not good.
Helldivers 2 finally brings back underrated service technician, whose voice actor is “so happy” to be returning: “Love this game, love this team, love this character”
