Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition pre-orders are live for $79.99 (GameStop) / £64.99 (Nintendo) already, and Nintendo has even launched an actual talking Talking Flower toy alongside the new version of the game if you have an extra $34.99 to spare. There’s even a new line of Super Mario Bros Wonder amiibo that unlock power-ups in both the original Switch and Switch 2 versions, yet pre-order bonuses are nowhere to be found.
I’d be happy with a tiny Prince Florian keychain or some stickers with this release, but so far the physical copies come with the shiny red box, the Switch game on the cart, and that’s that. At least there’s plenty of new content to enjoy, from a new 4K resolution in docked mode and faster loading times, to the addition of Princess Rosalina and her adorable Luma pal as a playable character.
There’s also a local multiplayer plaza by the name of Bellabel Park, and GameShare compatibility so you can play locally with your pals with just one copy of the game.
