Strong Acid is one a few Subnautica 2 resources that isn’t made in your basic fabricator. While the survival game sequel gives you a little more help than its predecessor ever did, there’s also a lot more to Subnautica 2, and you’ll find yourself building a base and new machinery far earlier.
One such machine is the Processor, which is required to make strong acid. Mild acid is an early recipe, found in your fabricator, while strong acid is needed to make fiber mesh, an ingredient in the Rebreather blueprint. So once you unlock the Rebreather recipe – or even before – you should look into adding this valuable contraption to your base. Here are the details.
How to make strong acid in Subnautica 2
To make strong acid in Subnautica 2, you first need to build a Processor in your base, and ensure it’s powered. Then, you’ll need to place two Necrolei Cysts into the Processor to produce one bottle of strong acid.
To make the Rebreather, which is the main early game blueprint that requires the acid, you’re going to need two bottles, so be sure to collect four Necrolei Cysts when you find them.
I’ll have a separate guide up shortly on locating Necrolei Cysts, as you’ll have to tread some dangerous waters to find them, as well as the Rebreather blueprint itself. In the meantime, be sure you know where you find some other tricky resources, including Subnautica 2 silver, Lucifer Rotsacs, and Fibrous Pulp, the latter of which you’ll need to combine with strong acid to make fiber mesh.
