The Boys kicks off an action-packed week with the first two episodes of its epic final season. We’ve backed that up with a pair of exciting new anime shows. One is the adaptation of hit manga Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun, and the other is the long-awaited reboot of the all-time-classic Fist of the North Star.

The fifth and final run of Prime Video’s runaway success super “hero” show is here at last – and things are looking bleak. Annie January (Erin Moriarty) and Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) are leading the fight back against the tyrannical Homelander (Antony Starr), who has finally achieved dominance and seized control of the United States. Can The Boys stop him? And if so, at what cost?
The first two episodes of the new season are streaming on Prime Video now and find the show every bit as thrilling and shocking as ever. Can The Boys succeed where so many long-running shows have failed and stick the landing? On the basis of these first two episodes we wouldn’t bet against it.
Watch The Boys.
Nippon Sangoku: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun
Watch On
Available: US/UK
This new anime is set in a future Japan that has been divided into three warring nations following a series of disasters and violent revolution. Without access to new technology, society has reverted to older and less civilized ways. Amid all of this chaos, a young man named Aoteru Misumi (Alejandro A Ruiz) encounters hardships that put him on the path to attempting the seemingly impossible: re-uniting his fractured home.
Adapted from Ikka Matsuki’s manga Nippon Sangoku, this is a visually striking and unique new anime with thought-provoking ideas, as well as moments of stark violence. The series is releasing new episodes each week.

Fist of the North Star

The iconic ’80s anime classic gets a 21st century reinvention. In the new Fist of the North Star the world has been scorched by a nuclear war. Somehow a few humans have survived, but it’s a hard life scrabbling for food and water while avoiding barbaric foes. Into this nightmarish scenario comes a lone hero: a scarred warrior and martial artist named Kenshiro (voiced by Makoto Furukawa) who roams the ruined Earth searching for his lost fiancée and answering calls for help from the vulnerable.
The new Fist of the North Star updates this fan favorite tale with slick new animation and doesn’t pull any punches. It debuts on April 11 and is rolling out weekly on Prime Video.
