A24’s Elden Ring movie has seemingly entered production, as a TikTok account has posted video of an apparent set for the film out in a random field somewhere in England. The set video, seen below, shows off a statue of Marika, a key character in the lore of the game, built to be remarkably close to the actual in-game environments.
The video comes courtesy of the TikTok account of Elden Ring streamer Throx, who confirmed to Kotaku that a friend told them the location of the set, which they then visited.

The Elden Ring movie is helmed by director Alex Garland, known for films such as Ex Machina, Civil War, and Annihilation. Garland is also well known as a writer on movies including the 28 Days Later franchise, taking on writing duties for the Elden Ring movie himself.
Garland even managed to get the approval of FromSoftware and Elden Ring’s creators by creating a 160-page script to show his knowledge of and love for the game and his ideas for adapting the sprawling fantasy epic to film.
Additionally, writer George RR Martin, who helped develop the world of Elden Ring, is on board as producer. With Garland previously stating he’s done numerous playthroughs of the game, the game-accurate look of the sets, and the blessing of Elden Ring’s original creators, it’s looking a lot like we’re in for a particularly faithful adaptation of the game’s dark, mythological story.
Elden Ring is a fantasy action RPG set in a world known as the Land Between which is subject to rulership by a pantheon of demigods. Queen Marika, the character depicted in the set’s statue, is the former divine sovereign of the realm, who destroyed the eponymous Elden Ring which once brought balance to the world.
The Elden Ring movie does not yet have a release date. For more, check out the upcoming video game movies and new PS5 games coming your way in 2026 and beyond.
