Pokémon Home will receive an update this week, finally adding compatibility with Pokémon Legends Z-A.

The Pokémon Company has announced that the service, which allows players to move their Pokémon between compatible games, will add support for Pokémon Legends Z-A on April 2.

Pokémon caught in Pokémon Legends Z-A can be moved to Pokémon Home, and then to Pokémon Champions, which will be released next week, but Pokémon from Legends Z-A can’t be moved to other titles in the series.

Whether or not Pokémon Legends Z-A Pokémon will be compatible with the upcoming Pokémon Winds and Waves is unknown.

Pokémon Home will undergo maintenance on Thursday, April 2, at midnight UTC. The service will resume operations at 06:00 UTC, though, like previous updates, it may take some time for all players to receive the update.

Pokémon Champions, the free-to-play competitive battle game, will be released next week. Ahead of the game’s release, VGC sat down with the game’s director for an in-depth interview.

The next Pokémon game, Pokémon Winds and Waves, is due to release on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

VGC’s Pokémon Legends: Z-A review calls it “a love letter to older fans that betters Pokémon Legends: Arceus in every way”.

“Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a grand adventure that once again proves that the Legends series is home to the most interesting ideas Game Freak has,” we wrote. “It’s a game that understands its audience, and feels like a love letter to both players who grew up with X & Y, and those who’ve been here the whole time.

“The new battle system really worked for me, and the Rogue Mega Battles are bombastic fun, even if, like the traditional turn-based offering, it can get very easy as you level up your team. I hope the Pokémon Legends series is here to stay.”
